I am amazed at the response I'm getting on Killer. I had no idea there were so many AMC fans out there, much less so many in my local area. There is a dude who wants to come see it on Wednesday evening and some guy from Wisconsin who asked if I had a Buy It Now price! I'm wishing I had put a $1000.00 or so BIN price on it now. Oh well, live and learn. So, did I mention I went ahead and ordered the AAR ‘Cuda style stripes for the Pimpmobile? I hope they arrive in time to install them on Wednesday. I did a really crappy Photoshop rendition of it on a picture in my laptop. It looked pretty good. Well, no it didn’t, but it gave me an idea of how it was going to look, sort of. I think the matte black stripe is going to be bitchin’. I asked John his opinion on whether I should sell Barbecue Bob. He said that, logically, I should sell it. I agree, in theory. We’ll see how the sale of Killer turns out and then think about putting Bob up. I'm still more than a little bummed out about the Seven. Every time the picture of the DCOE pops up on the screen saver, I say to myself, “You know, that ran really well. You shouldn’t have messed with it.” thing is, I can’t go back now that I have hacked up the hood. That was the biggest mistake of this project. I hope that if I ever get them tuned properly the hole in the hood can be seen as necessity. Right now, all it is is a reminder that I'm past the point of no return. Of course if I can’t get it tuned, I can always buy another hood and go back to the DCOE, but I'll burn that bridge when I come to it. now, here’s the really wacky thought I had while looking at the hole and non-running carburetors. I thought, “This hole is just about the right size for the turbo setup I'm building on the bench over there.” How crazy would that be? I'd re-route the exhaust from the header collector around and up to the turbine, with a much smaller pipe, like I did on the bench. I'd then run it back down to the Smithy’s muffler with some more 2.5” pipe. I'd have plenty of room to mount the carburetor in front this time as well. I need to stop this line of thinking right away or I just might talk myself into it. well, I think I'm going to shut down for a bit. Perhaps I'll go back into the internot again and see how Killer is doing. I didn’t do that after all. I decided to goof off at my desk doing other time wasting type activities. I think now that it is 1530 I will go to the internot, shoost this off to Spiderman, and then check on Killer's progress. Y’all have a day.
