Well, Killer has met the reserve! If it goes up another $250.00, I will actually break even. I had no idea there would be this much interest, as I said yesterday, so I set the reserve at what I originally paid for the car. I was going to lose the money for the tires and K&N filter I bought for it. I still might, Juan never knows, but it is looking good. I really should sell Barbecue Bob next. I don’t need it. It is “in the way.” I don’t have an engine for it. It isn’t a 1200. But it does look really cool with those flares and big assed tires. Ok, is it really “in the way” all that bad? No, not really. If I don’t have to move the shop anytime soon, it isn’t any more of an eyesore than the rest of my crap out back. Pat gave me the name of a dude who will dispose of dead cars as well, so some of them will be leaving soon. I know I will dispose of the 200SX, the HL510 wagon, the 620 truck chassis, and the junkyard 1200. I'm not sure about Herman though. Yes, he’s very rough and probably should never be resurrected, but he has a title and is another 1200. I hate to see them go to the crusher. I'll probably hang on to him until time to move the shop. Yes, that will be my plan. As for other dead stuff, the 300ZX is John's responsibility and the PL510 wagon is his car. It has a title as well. I mean, I'm not going to arbitrarily dispose of his wagon and he is supposed to return that 300ZX to someone when he has the engine out. I'll bet the other dude has forgotten all about it, what do you think John? On another note, I think I may have fixed Tiny and Flaccid’s automatic capitalization, or lack thereof, problem. I found where the “exceptions” to the rule were and removed a whole bunch of words that it had added. What I mean is, it has a list of abbreviations that it doesn’t capitalize after. Somehow other words got added to the list, perfectly normal words that Juan might use as the last word of a sentence. The only ones I remember were: it and Roadster. Let’s see if my “fix” worked. Looks like it did. Huzzah! You may be wondering why I began this search all of a sudden. I'll tell you. If you look back to the discussion of Barbecue Bob, you will see several sentences that end with the word “it.” The next sentence didn’t capitalize so I went on a tirade for about ten lines or so. I finally calmed down and started looking for a way to just turn the auto caps feature off. That was when I found the “exceptions” list and deleted the actual words from it, not abbreviations, just whole words. I also turned off the feature that automatically added words to the list. I'm not sure what the criteria for addition were, but it isn’t adding any more. I went back, obviously, and deleted the tirade as well as fixed the caps issue. Hopefully it won’t be a problem any more. Well, I'm just about ready to head down and get some lunch. I think I'll sign off for a while. I'm back. I was thinking about stopping at the auto parts store on the way to the shop and picking up a coil and fuel pressure regulator for the Seven. Unfortunately, today is the day my car payment is due so I'm going to be broke until Friday. I may actually have a fuel pressure regulator at the shop though. I'll have to look. I bought one at one time for the turbo project but I'm not sure if I sold it along with the fuel pump way back when. I'm also pretty sure there is one of those really crappy dial type units somewhere. I wonder if my AAR stripe has arrived. Perhaps I should swing by the house on the way to the shop and check. I don’t know if we’d attempt to install it if it was there though. It really is a long decal. I don’t remember how long it is, but it is really long. Well over 100” I know that. We’re going to need lots of soapy water for this installation. I wonder if I ought to take it to a professional vinyl person to install. I could get a windshield strip at the same time if I did that. If I did a windshield strip, should I do matte-black like the AAR stripe or try to match the body color? Either way would look good, I'd think. Then again, I just don’t know. I'm off to Paint again. I probably won’t come back again today since I just hit the second page. Y’all have a day.
