I have been reading about the Slant Six engine some more. I have decided that while the Hyper-Pack, actually there shouldn’t be a “C” in there but I'm not going back to fix it, intake would be really cool I'm going to stay a little more reasonable with Mr. Wiggly. While reading an article on the aluminum block Slant Six, I got an e-mail from e-Bay reminding me that I'm watching a set of headers from a mid seventies van with a Slant Six. I went ahead and bid on them. The auction will end tomorrow night at 2200 so who knows what will happen. I was then struck with the thought that the two-barrel Super Six intake would be an improvement over the one-barrel that is on there now so I began shopping for one of them. I found one and while looking at it decided that it wouldn’t be too tough to mount a Weber 38/38 DGV to it. I bid on it as well. It was at about that point that I realized I needed to go pee so I logged off of the internot and headed downstairs. Now that I'm back, I thought I should let y’all in on my latest misadventures on e-Bay. Well, that was pretty much all of the misadventures on e-Bay except for my search this morning for a four-barrel to put on Barbecue Bob. I called John to ask if my recollection that Edelbrock carburetors were really Weber four-barrels. They are and he said they are a decent carburetor, but he’d stay away from them especially used. Fear of parts availability was the deciding factor. He sent me on a price search for 600 CFM Holley four-barrels. I found the best price to be a manual choke, silver-bodied, Holley 4160 for $229.88 from Summit. I'll probably go that route when the time comes. Well, that’s about all I have today. I'm going to make it a short entry and call it a day.
