I've been pretty busy today. There was a Technology Town Hell meeting this morning and the lady in charge likes for me to baby sit them. I called for a backup person to be here in case I had to run back to this side of campus and they sent someone who had never been here before. Basically, he sat by and did work on his laptop while I ran the meeting. Fortunately there weren’t any emergency calls for this side of the world. The technology people always seem to have the most trouble getting their presentations done and consolidated on time, and this meeting was no exception. They had a guest speaker who showed up right as everyone was coming in. He handed me his presentation and I got it loaded just as the meeting started. I just realized I don’t even care about what I just said, why would I think you did? So, on to cars, I've got nothing. The rain has stopped and the skies have cleared so I will be going after the Seven after work today. I went by Northside Upholstery again and, you guessed it, the zipper wasn’t done. I went ahead and took the tonneau with me so I could have it for the weekend. I have my list of things I want to bring with me in the car so I can round up whatever is at the shop before heading to the house. Actually, I'll probably go home before going to the shop because there is a case of water in the back of the Pimpmobile that I'll want to load into the ice chest in the morning. If it is in the back of the Pimpmobile when I get the Seven it will probably still be in the back of the Pimpmobile when I get home with the Seven. Then again, I'll have my list so I might not forget it. But there isn’t really any point in transporting it all over town. I don’t know, we’ll see. Have I mentioned my arms are peeling from the sunburn? Well, they are. Occasionally I'll get a big piece to come off and I feel like Mike Meyers in “Goldmember.” I want to say, “Ooh, that’s a keeper!” I don’t because I'm usually alone when I peel off big hunks of skin. I wonder if yesterday’s “Randy funk” was rotting flesh. I'm not smelling it today. Then again, I was wearing a shirt I haven’t worn in a while; it may have had the whiff about it. Then again, then again, I was also wearing a pair of pants I haven’t worn in an even longer time; they really could have had the funk. Well, like I said, I'm not smelling it today so hopefully one of those was the problem and I'm not odiferous today. Speaking of stank, we had a toilet back up last night at the house. Oh yeah, there’s some lovely aroma. Mom called a plumber to come fix it since my attempt to snake the drain wasn’t successful. Fortunately the blockage is upstream from the point where my bathroom’s drain joins in. Mom’s bathroom on the other hand, flows right out onto the floor of the downstairs bathroom. Hopefully the plumber will come before I get home and have it all snaked out and running free. We’ll see. Well, I think I'm going to shut down for a bit. I may be back later with more to say. Nope, I think I'm going to call this week’s rants complete and waste the rest of the day on the internot. Have a swell weekend and I'll be in touch Monday.
