I'm not sure what happened to Friday’s entry. [ Ummm... Nothing? - SM ] Anyhoo, I put the Pimpmobile up for sale on e-Bay over the weekend. I have a dude interested in looking at it this evening. I'll swing by after work and show it to him and his wife. I put a $20,000.00 reserve on it because that is really what I need to get. I started the auction at $15,000.00 but haven’t had any bids yet. I really should drag John along to keep me from buckling when this guy tries to “low ball” me on the price. I'll do my best to hold out until after the auction ends. If it doesn’t sell, I'll at least know, most likely, what this guy is prepared to offer. I really can’t take less that $15,000.00 for it because that would mean another year of payments on it and that’s what I'm trying to get out from under. We’ll see. Well, with the layoff, I'm not going to be able to go to the Datsun thing in… oh, wherever it was up in pinko-lefty hippy-land, next week after all. I’d like to but I can’t think of a way to make it happen. I'd need someone out here to cover for me, and the only one with a badge and training now works for another company. Oh sure, that is possibly the company I'm about to be working for, but it hasn’t happened yet and probably won’t in time to get the days off. Oh well, sorry John. So, as you may remember, I'm hot and heavy for a Toyota Yaris hatchback. Since it is, essentially, the same as the Scion “x” family, it shares the drivetrain and underpinnings as those cars. Therefore, the hotrod parts for those cars should fit with minor tweaking, Juan would think. In that vein, I have been shopping for hotrod parts for Agamemnon! Yes, Agamemnon, the Yaris I haven’t bought yet since I haven’t sold the Pimpmobile yet! Shut up, it’s my blog. I haven’t bought any parts for Agamemnon yet; I'm just shopping. I found a couple folks selling headers for the xA and xB for less than $60.00! I mean really! That’s cheap! I'm not sure if I'd go with an xA or xB cold air intake or try to build one myself. For that matter, I could probably adapt one of those at the shop to fit. I've found one supercharger kit and two different turbo kits available for it as well. TRD has lowering springs and sporty shocks that I'll probably buy at time of purchase and roll into the payments. That’ll add, what, a dollar or two a month? John has a set of 16” wheels that’ll fit if I buy another tire and have a “taco” removed from one of them. Dang, I really need a “voice of reason” with me this evening when I show the Pimpmobile! I might just take an offer if I keep thinking about Agamemnon! I'd better go for a while or I'll keep talking about it and get really fired up. I'll talk to y’all tomorrow.
