Well, I went to show the Pimpmobile to a dude in Whiskey Flats last night. I was a bit worried that he might make a low ball offer and I'd take it. He either has the best “poker face” ever or he wasn’t interested. We’ll see. I haven’t heard from him today so I'm leaning toward the not interested end of the spectrum. Before I headed down to see him, I stopped off at the Toyota dealer to see if the cute sales chick was there and if they might have a five-speed hatch on the lot. She was but they didn’t. I left her a note and told her to find me one in any color but blue or red. I won’t drive a red one and mom didn’t like the blue. Unfortunately, the blue seems to be the best looking color I've seen so far. I need to see it in black though. Anyhoo, she called to say she’d found a white five-speed hatch and that I needed to come see her about it. I said I would. I misunderstood and thought she meant there was one on the lot since I had seen a white hatch the other day. I told her I'd be back after talking to this dude. I arrived at the dude’s place and he looked the car over while we waited for his wife to arrive. She looked it over and we went for a drive. When we got back he asked if $15,000.00 was my rock bottom price. I told him I really needed more like $20,000.00 but that we might be able to talk once the auction is over. The automatic transmission is really annoying me to the point I'm just about to take the bath on the price just to get away from a slush box. I am never buying another automatic again. If something happens that makes it a necessity, like losing a leg or something, I'll figure out a way to make a hand control clutch for it. I hate automatic transmissions! Maxine will get a five-speed in the near future. I am done with automatics. Period! But I digress. He said he’d talk it over with the wife and let me know. We’ll see if he makes an offer this weekend after the auction ends. From there I went back to talk to the cute sales chick again. I was just about ready to sign papers on it so it was a good thing it wasn’t actually on the lot. She had found it in the computer and it was somewhere in a five state area. I said I'd take the information and think about it. I drove to the back of the lot where I had seen the white hatch the other day. It was a slush box. I looked it over for a while and came away thinking it looked too much like an egg. No, I'll need another color thank you very much. I went back in to see what information she had on any others. She began to backpedal at that point. “Let’s take a deposit and order the exact car you want,” she said. “That way you will get what you really want in four weeks, which is what it will take for us to get one in anyway.” Well, in four weeks the Nissan Versa should be here. I think I'm going to hold off for a bit after all. So, we’re waiting to see what the Pimpmobile does on e-Bay and then I'll decide what I'll be driving at that point. As for the lay off situation, it looks as though I'm being picked up by a new company, and getting a substantial raise to boot. It’s embarrassing. Well, I'm out of stuff to say. I may have something to say tomorrow as we are going to the shop tonight. Have a day.
