I have a stack of lamps sitting at the foot of the stairs that belong to a lady across the street. They have been there for one year now. I guess I should take them to her sometime. Anyhoo, I was thinking about the Patty Wagon some more this morning. It needs a stereo so I went to the Crutchfield web site to price a head unit and speakers. I did all right until I started pricing sub-woofers. Yeah, the price doubled and then some with that addition! I think I won’t be buying all of that stuff for a while though, not until I have the CV joints replaced and the windows tinted. That right front CV is clattering so bad I didn’t drive it to work today. I needed to be here at 0730 so I knew it would have shredded itself on the way in. I think I'll see about replacing them this weekend. Pat said he priced them at Orally, er I mean O’Reilly’s, and they were quite reasonable. I'll have to look into it myself of course. I wonder if the muffler dude would be willing to do that while installing a rorty zorst. I wish I had his number so I could ask. Perhaps that would be a good thing to think about doing this Saturday, if he’s willing. I suppose I could drop it off some evening and pick it up the next day or so. I need to call and discuss it with him. In reply to Spiderman's comment about the 300ZX being worth $150.00 if it was a five-speed, it was. That is precisely why I didn’t call to ask his opinion of the deal while I was at the meet. He would have talked me into it. Yeah, I could have sold the five-speed for a profit, or installed the VG-33 I have on the floor, but I really didn’t want to drag another dead project to the shop. I think I'm going to try and stick to 1200s and the one 610 from now on. Well, those and the Patty Wagon and Mr. Wiggly I suppose. Ok, so I'm not going to stick with anything specific. I guess I should have drug it home. Oh well, too late now. I know how I'll sleep at night; I didn’t ask him if it had a title so I'm going to assume it didn’t. All right, enough of that, back to pertinent information. While looking at Weber adapters for the Patty Wagon this morning, I saw the dual DCOE to four-barrel adapter thingy that Pierce Manifolds sells. I really want that on Barbecue Bob! How badass would dual DCOE carburetors be on that V8? Ultra badass, that’s how! I'm not sure if they’d clear the hood though. I'm concerned about the four-barrel fitting. Well, I think the carburetor will fit but I'm not sure about the air filter. I may have to put a scoop on there. We’ll see. I was thinking about dual exhaust for the Patty Wagon. How silly would that sound? I won’t do it, of course, but my thought was an “X” pipe right where the two down pipes come together and duals back from there. I wonder if it would sound more or less like a VW beetle. Like I said, I won’t do it. I think I'll go with a 2” pipe back from the union of the two down pipes through a turbo muffler or maybe a Flowmaster. We’ll see. I really need to open up the airflow into and out of that thing so it will get out of its own way. I mean, it does ok on the freeway, but I'd like a little more. I don’t expect to be able to spin all four tires at will, but a little more oomph would be nice. And I'd like to hear it as well. Ok, I'm bored with this for the time being. I think I'll shut up for a while. Have a day.
