Than! The word is “than” and I know the word is “than.” I really hate, I mean with a purple passion hate, when someone screws up “then” and “than.” Sure enough, big as shit, I did it yesterday. It glares at me even now through the ether. Just knowing it is there in my blog yesterday makes me want to jump up and down and scream. Of course, as Spiderman pointed out last week, I do use improper grammar on occasion as a joke. It’s just that some things really get on my tits. “Then” and “than” is one of them. “Too” and “to” is another. And sometimes it isn’t correct to say “So & so and I.” Sometimes “So & so and me” is correct. Aunt Margaret, I'm looking your direction. Anyhoo, ok yeah there’s one of mine; I'll try to get back on subject here in a moment. Oh, apparently another thing I do is abuse “a minute” as a reference to a short interval of time. In fact, I almost did it two sentences ago. Dave Heeter pointed that flaw out to me once, the “I’ll be there in a minute” flaw that is. Um, so yeah, there you have it. Ok, what else do I have to say today? Not much really, I seem to have told the whole weekend’s story yesterday. Well, John did call with a suggestion as to how I could get into some more stylish wheels on the cheap. Apparently, 205/55-16 tires are dime-a-dozen, which is an extreme exaggeration now that I think about it, at his work. What we’re planning to do is have the one tacoed wheel repaired and install a set of used tires in that size. I suggested just buying one new tire to replace the blown out tire from that set. But that could still cost more than (see, I got it right there) four used guys from John's place. I have the tacoed wheel in the back of Matilda and will drop it off to John this evening. We’re talking about going to a Nissan car show thingy in Not Texas tonight so I'll take it to him then. Ok, so here’s what just happened. I got a call at about 1145 telling me I was forty-five minutes late with a projector. I told her that I had it scheduled for 1300 not 1100. Turns out I was not the most correct that I have ever been. Well, I was correct in that I did have it scheduled for 1300 but that was the meeting end time. Oops. I took her projector to her and then went to lunch. After lunch I spent an hour trying to install a projector but didn’t have the right bracket. I finally gave up and went across the street to get the other one I have that is identical to the bad unit. Well, identical except for the being bad part. It is now 1445 and I'm finishing up talking to y’all. Well, I guess that’s about all I have to say for the day. Talk to y’all again tomorrow.
