I got a call from Ray this morning asking if I was thinking about having a garage sale. I heard Pat in the background say he wants dibs on George. Ray wants to look at Barbecue Bob and any 1200 spares I might want to sell. Who knows, I may get rid of some stuff after all. So here’s kind of what I'm thinking. I'll plan on selling all of that V8 stuff I have amassed for Barbecue Bob and either drop an L-series, Z-20, or VG-30 in it. No, that sounds like too much work, I'll more likely sell it as a roller. Herman and Gigi will be sold as-is as a package deal, that much is certain, sort of. I mean I'm certain that if I do have a “fire sale” those two will be sold together. I may change my mind and not sell any of them, Juan never knows. Anyhoo, John's car would be sold as a roller/racecar starter kit. I'll plan to keep the Chickenhawk for the following reasons: 1) sentimental value, and B) those bitchin’ steel flares! As for the engine I'd use in there, I don’t know. I'll probably go back to the Z-20 unless it gets used in Barbecue Bob. Of course I could go ahead with the VG-30 if it doesn’t go into Barbecue Bob. We’ll see. Of course I could sell the VG-30 bits along with Barbecue Bob as a kit for the next Bozo to install. That plan has some merit I think. I might finish George enough that he runs and drives but still needs final tuning and sell him. But I might finish and keep him. Then again, I might rip all of the stuff out of that chassis and let it go as a roller. We’ll see. I’d want to keep Mr. Wiggly as the tow vehicle of course. I'll probably use that two-in two-out muffler I bought for Barbecue Bob on the dual exhaust in Mr. Wiggly now that I think about it. So, what will that leave me with? Of course I'll have Matilda as my daily driver. I'll keep the Seven as a fair weather toy. I'll have the Chickenhawk as a toy as well. George may or may not stay depending on my motivation level for finishing it. And finally, Mr. Wiggly and the trailer will be my tow rig. Four or possibly five cars, those I could park at the house if I cleaned out the garage and back patio. I wonder if the city would allow me to build another garage on that lower patio. I've said for some time that if I stayed in that house I'd like to knock a door between the garage and the downstairs room to make another inside parking spot. Since that room is basically in the main house, I'd park the Seven in there. I need to take a measurement of that back patio and see if it is big enough for three cars side by side. I doubt it, but Juan never knows. In the main garage there is an alcove like thing where I could put all of my machine shop stuff, I think. I mean I know there is an alcove but I think it is big enough to be the machine shop. I'd need more power in there but that’s easy enough to do. Actually, what I'd rather do is find an existing building somewhere and convert it to my home and shop. An old fire station would be great! I really wish I owned that one we used to office out of with MCSi/Intellisys Group. That was the coolest building! I don’t want to think about it though because it was so friggin’ cool. John has said he’d kick in rent money if I had a place more accessible to him. I'd consider moving to a more downtown locale. Well, not downtown per se, but something closer to halfway between us. Ok, I've stared at the screen long enough without thinking of more to say. I think I'll call it a rant and go to the internot. Oh, I won the auction for the “between the seats” swamp cooler. It should be on its way to me as we speak. I'll let you know how well it works soon. Toodles.
