I'm not sure why I'm even bothering to come in here. I've got nothing. Since we didn’t go to the shop the other night we didn’t get any more work done on John's car. Since we didn’t get any more work done on John's car we didn’t move it out of the main bay of the shop. Since we didn’t move it out of the main bay of the shop I couldn’t move one of my projects back in. [ Tomorrow we weld and then get it out. I SWEAR... - SM ] I'm still not sure which one I want to move back in though, so it really doesn’t matter all that much. I really should “finish” George. I really don’t need to start another project with that one… um, hang on while I check the to-do list, 13/36 finished. Hmm, I thought I was closer than that. Oh well, I still should finish George before starting another project. I'm still amazed that I not only completed the Seven, but that I got it done in less than a year. Why can’t I achieve the same thing on my other cars? It is a conundrum. I think I may have an answer, but it seems a tad far-fetched. I wonder if the Seven having its own bay during the build had anything to do with it getting done. I mean we never had to get it out of the way to work on other things. It never had all of its parts stacked in it and set aside for a period of time while another car was in the main bay. Even when I didn’t feel like working on it on a particular weekend, it wasn’t blocking the way for other stuff to be worked on. Ok, here’s a thought. How much work would be involved in moving the Seven’s parking spot to the paint booth? That would free up a bay for George. Of course if we just cleaned the place up we could probably make room for a few cars, but I'm not ready to commit to that. No, I think if we were to get rid of that cabinet in the paint booth and shuffle some stuff around just a little, the Seven would fit nicely. Hell, it isn’t very big at all you know. If we just condensed the crap in the paint booth it would probably fit. John is probably asking why we don’t clean out the south side of my garage at home and move it there. Here’s why: mom won’t allow anything to be thrown away. “There’s too much ‘good stuff’ there,” she claims. Now, here’s the part where the kettle calls the kettle another kettle, if you haven’t used it in a while, aren’t using it now, and probably never will use it, what good is it? Shut up, those Z-car parts that I have been sitting on are getting the brown 210 back for me and one of these days someone is going to need a complete Miata rear suspension. Mark my words! Ok, maybe I shouldn’t challenge people to mark my words, as I'm not known for my prognostication skills. But no one can argue with my mad procrastination skills! [ I'm sorry, did you just use "mad skills" in a sentence? The world is collapsing in on itself as I type... - SM ] Well, I've just about had enough of this for the week. I think I'm going to sign off now. Y'all have a swell weekend. I'll be back Monday to prattle on some more.
