I need to be slapped about the head and shoulders! I shouldn’t even mention this next idea/project until George and Barbecue Bob are both up and running. For that matter, I should include the Chickenhawk in that list as well. But here goes. Gregg called last night and offered me my “right of first refusal” on the brown 210. I am going to get it back. Now, here’s the part where I need a good slapping about, I want to resurrect the Super Sleeper project. In my wheeling and dealing, I have reacquired the VG-30 and five-speed from that 300ZX. I want to install it in the 210! Imagine if you will a poo brown, four door, Datsun 210 with a nice quiet 200 horse VG-30 in it, stomping the faces of unsuspecting muscle cars. I'm getting wood! Not really, but it is exciting. I might, possibly, think about considering building it as a drag car. Well, a road going drag car, not a dedicated drag strip, track only, drag car. Yes, I know that was a fragment, I don’t care. Anyhoo, I'm thinking that since it has a live axle anyway, when I break the Datsun unit I can replace it with a stronger one from a Ford or a Chevy or something. I'm even thinking about the possibility of tubs and really big meats on the back! I probably won’t go that far, but Juan never knows. No, I want to keep it as innocuous as possible, now that I think about it. Oh, I'm going to have to get a Frontier or Pathfinder supercharger for it, down the road of course. Great, this is just what I needed, another project on my plate distracting me from the existing ones. [ Just sell the 210 to me and get it over with... Like I need another project, too... Slaps all around!!! - SM ] See what I mean about needing a good slapping? Ok, here’s the deal, as if any of my plans can be believed, I'm going to “finish” George. I'm going to build Barbecue Bob with the 350. I'm going to build the Super Sleeper. And finally, after all these years of talking about it, I'm going to build Chickenhawk Mk III. Ok, so the order might change, in fact it probably will change, in fact I'm almost certain it will change. Yeah, in fact, forget I even made that list. “Delete it,” you say? Nah, I'll leave it in for gits and shiggles later. Well, I'm off to other programs in this computer to see what I'm going to have to change in my various lists and such. I might come back after lunch. Whew, a stuffed baked potato and cup of clam chowder was a bit too much lunch. I'm not really sure why I came back to talk some more because I really don’t have anything new to report. In fact, I think I'm just going to have to be satisfied with the length of the rant as it sits and call it a week. Perhaps I'll have news on Monday.
