I hear through the grapevine that George, the grumpy old fart I used to hang out with not the car I am currently trying to get back on the road, is in the process of thinning out his stockpile of Datsun parts and other stuff. However, he has expressed that he won’t be dealing with Marty Smith, John, or me. In fact, the quote I heard was, “Fuck Tim, Marty, and John. They want to pay $100.00 for everything.” While it is true that we aren’t willing to pay what he thinks stuff is worth, we would probably pay a fair price for it. But if our money isn’t good enough for him, we’ll wait and buy it all from his kids. To tell the truth, I'm not even sure he has anything I want or need anymore. Pat is the one who has always wanted the 510. It’s just another old car as far as I'm concerned. It’s too modified to be considered a stock survivor but not modified enough to consider it anything special. [ Yeah, what's been done so far just took value away from it... - SM ] I'm not really sure why Pat even wants it as bad as he acts like he does. Probably just so George won’t have it anymore. It was also mentioned that he wanted to sell his big truck. Pat asked what we’d do with it if we bought it. I can’t think of a use I have for it. I'm not sure if he still has the Ice Cream Truck. That was one of his vehicles I used to want but now that I have Mr. Wiggly, not so much anymore. As for his B-210s, I'm not sure I want to go off the deep end and become the B-210 guy. I'd rather remain the 1200 guy, if it’s all right with you. For that matter, I'm not even 100% sure he still has those B-210s. It has been so long since I was last over there that I'm not sure what any of those folks have. I did try to stop in one day when I was in the neighborhood but the door was answered by some kid I didn’t know and he was the only one there. I asked about Marty and George and left when they weren’t there. Pat and John stop by a whole lot more often than I do. I just don’t have any business on that side of town to drop in anymore. That probably makes George happy, not having to see me. No, nothing makes George happy now that I think about it. In fact, today’s whole rant probably has him purple with rage. He’s probably going to pitch a huge fit about it. Tee hee! Maybe it will prompt a phone call from him. Juan never knows. I do know that the one tiny little picture of him on my main page has always pissed him off. That’s why it is still up there incidentally. Ahh, good times. Well, I think I've probably poked the bear enough for today. Besides, it is lunchtime. I think I'll call it a rant for the day and go eat. Hey George, you’re welcome to swing by the railroad and have lunch sometime. Just give me a call first. Toodles.
