Remember how I was telling you about Gregg wanting to buy Cave In but he couldn’t pick it up immediately because the battery was dead and I sent him on his way in the brown 210? Well, he called and asked how much I wanted for the 210 as well. I gave him a number and he agreed. So, it looks like I'll be selling two vehicles to Gregg in the next few days. It’s cool though because I really could stand to cull my herd a bit and concentrate on existing projects. Oh, speaking of Cave In, culling herds, and 210s, Kevin called and asked if I had any “spare” cars he could buy for one of his foster kids. I originally told him about the brown 210 but when Gregg made a solid offer I called back to mention Barbara. As bad as I want a Faux Rally Car, fewer projects make more sense. Besides, there is still the Patty Wagon when Ray's guys mutiny and refuse to work on it any more! Not that I need, or really want it all that bad for that matter, but it is an option. I think thinning the inventory down to a daily driver (which is Matilda right now of course), the Seven, the Chickenhawk, George, Barbecue Bob, and Mr. Wiggly would behoove me. At this point in time I can even see letting Barbecue Bob go for the right money. In fact, that might not be such a bad idea. I'm not going to actively try to sell it though. Not until I hate driving it with the V8. Sorry, but I'm going to be a pessimist about that until such time as I actually do drive it. I'm afeared I'm just not a V8 guy. We’ll see. John found a Slant Six Duster for sale locally. The price isn’t bad and I do have all of that hotrod stuff for it, but it’s a slush-box. I would have to install a four-speed right away. I'm still thinking about it. Like I said the other day though, I'd rather have a Barracuda. I mean, come on, how cool is that name? That is a name the Anti-Chrysler needs to revive! I know they axed the Plymouth brand and purists would probably rail against a Dodge Barracuda, but still. And I digress. Well, with February almost over, I have four months to dread the trip across country to the Tail of the Dragon event with the Seven. I've paid my entry fee and have a hotel room booked so I'm pretty much committed to going. Pat keeps asking if we’re still on as well so I think he’s still in. I just hate planning things like this in advance. I dread it and resent it up until time to leave. I'm just that way. I need to register the trailer again too! Crapzilla! I need to replace the wood on the deck as well. That would be the deck of the trailer, not like a deck out back of the house or something. I do go off on tangents but not one that wild. I mean seriously, have I ever mentioned a deck out back of the house? No. Why would you think it was that? Psh, come on people try to keep up. Gregg was supposed to be pricing “C” purling for me to use. I'll have to ask him about that again. Well, I just got a call to go down to the War Room. I may be back later. I'm back but I don’t really have any more to add. I guess I'll ‘splain right quick what I mean about the “C” purling. Some dude was telling me that he re-decked his trailer with the purling material from a steel building. For those not in the know, purling are those channels of steel bent into a “C” shape that are used for the rafters and such on steel buildings. Once I gave it some thought it made sense how it would work for trailer decking. Juan would lay them out just like the wood on the trailer and weld them together and to the frame. They should, in theory, be lighter than the wood and would never rot. On the down side, they will be slicker than snot on a doorknob when wet. I'm thinking I'd probably zook on some traction globs with a stick welder once the deck is done. Well, it is 1540 h so I think I'm going to call this rant complete and shoost it off to Spiderman. Have a day.
