I went ahead and ordered another antenna for the Sony/Ericsson air card. I sent the dude an e-mail asking if he had any and he directed me to another auction. Yeah, I probably could have sent the card back to him and requested that he honor his guarantee. He probably would have sent me another card to try too. Thing is, the antenna I ordered is like some sort of super ninja remote antenna that is supposed to make the thing work even better! Yeah, I don’t actually believe the thing is going to be any better either. We’ll see. John and I went to see “Hot Fuzz” last night. Now I'm going to have to buy “Sean of the Dead” on DVD. I watched the edited-for-TV version of “SotD” on Comedy Central the other night and it was quite amoosing. I really enjoyed “HF” as well. Perhaps I should wait for that to come out on DVD and buy them both at the same time. Yeah, that’s probably what I'll do. Ok, on to shop matters. Is that last sentence a fragment? I guess not. Ok, so here’s what I'm thinking as far as the shop goes. Now that George is back inside, I'll “work” on it as long as John has a car in the main bay. When John's car leaves, if Kevin hasn’t come up with money to buy Barbara, I'll unload it from the trailer and see about making it roadworthy again. It is registered and licensed you see. I'm thinking I'll strip the smog crap off and install a 32/36 to start with. I'd like to see about the supercharger but it might wait until George is done. We’ll just have to see what happens when Barbara's intake comes off. I mean, if it looks like welding up a plenum to those homemade SU manifolds, attaching the supercharger, installing a carburetor, running a belt, and making all that work seems just a tad more difficult than just slapping on a DGV, then I'll go that route. Of course it is going to be more difficult, but if it just a wee bit more and not a total pain in the ass, I'll do it. Of course Kevin might still come up with the money to buy Barbara and the point will be moo. Hey, I might have enough room in the Seven to mount a supercharger! No, no, no, no, no! I do not need to supercharge the engine in the Seven! No! It would be pretty cool though. But seriously, the next question in regards to Barbara is, “Do I keep the air conditioning?” I guess I'll make that decision after seeing if it even works. If it doesn’t, it’s out of there. Probably. If it does work, then it might stay, if it isn’t in the way. We’ll see. I think that is a four-speed car rather than a dogleg five-speed. No matter. It would be nice, but I don’t really see me taking any long road trips to need the lowered revs on the freeway. Hell, I'd like to put the 4.11 R&P in it to give it more zip but that gear is in a 1200 axle. Not to mention that R&P will be going in George if it goes in anything. Oh yeah, I was going to put George up on stands as soon as it went inside. I forgot to do that the other day. I'll do it next time I'm down there. Well, I've stared at the screen for about five minutes now trying to think of more to say. Not to mention the supermodel has requested my services in half an hour as well. I guess I'll shut up now and send this off to Spiderman. Y'all have a day.
