Great. I have a blog now. I hope you're satisfied.

Ok, so we’ve got water in George's engine and cooling system. At this point I decided I was hot enough and wanted to call it a day. I changed back into my regular clothes and washed up. I hopped in Matilda and fired up the air conditioning. Aahhhhhhhh! It was nice. I called my sister to see if she’d be home so I could drop of that money. She said she would be and for me to come on down. I head out. I get about half a mile away and notice that the cloud cover looked thick enough that driving the Seven wouldn’t be too beastly hot. I turned back and returned to the shop. I got the Seven out of storage and headed towards my sister’s again. There was a train at the crossing so I headed into Beenbroke. Up Old Granbury Road to Dirks, left and down the dam, left on Winscott, and finally left onto 377 I go. Just about the time I'm equally far from her house and the shop, the thick clouds disperse and that thin, sun burn inducing hazy cloud cover settles in. I figure I'm screwed either way and continue. I get to her house to find the place empty. I go in and raid her fridge. I drink a soda of some sort, and sit down on the couch to wait. The security guard at the entrance gate had actually warned me that my sister had run into town to the store and would be right back. I also noticed I had missed two phone calls from her so I listened to my messages. As I was doing that, my brother-in-law and his golf buddies show up and I have to ‘splain all of the ins and outs of the Seven to them. Eventually my sister and the golf buddies wives show up and I have to do it all over again. I knew that would be the case when I chose to drive it down there so I didn’t really mind. After a while, the golf buddies, and wives, leave and I take my B-I-L for a ride around the block. My sister gets a laugh out of the two of us in the car and takes a few pictures. He hops out and I take my leave. I roll back to the shop and park the car. I don’t notice the sunburn until I get home. My left arm, except where my watch rides, was a nice rosy red. My right arm wasn’t quite as bad because I had driven with the tonneau cover in place on the way down. My head, now that was a different story! My arms have a base tan to give them some protection. Apparently I've been wearing a hat in the sun more than I thought. The top of my head was radiating quite a bit of heat. I took a shower and noticed that the places where I wasn’t burned, the water felt hotter than the places where I was burned. It was a weird sensation letting the water run hit my cheeks and then my mouth area. I could feel a definite difference. It was kooky. I settled in for the evening. Monday morning I got a late start. Mom’s sister, Aunt Margaret, was coming to pick her up so they could go to Lubbock for a few days. I hung out to help see them off and keep the cat inside. Monday at work was nothing to write home about so I won’t. Tuesday was more of the same, although by Tuesday evening when I hadn’t heard from John I did begin to… well, not so much worry but get curious. I tried to call but his phone was turned off. I decided that if I didn’t hear from him today, I'd call his widow, er, I mean wife to see if he was all right. Obviously I have heard from him or I wouldn’t have made that horribly tasteless joke just then. Well, I say I've heard from him. The rants are posted and I got a reply to an e-mail this morning. I'm sure I'll get a call once he reads this. We’ll see. Well, I guess that’s about all I have to say about stuff and things and junk. I'll try to come up with more tomorrow. Toodles.
