Wow, that sure was a great idea I had buying an MP3 player. I finally hooked up the transmitter and got it tuned in yesterday. It sounds like crap. I'm not happy at all. First of all, there aren’t any blank radio stations in the Versa. The thing is too sensitive and all channels pick something up. [ the other problem is antenna location. - SM ] Well, there are a few very low on the dial but the transmitter won’t go that low. When I did find a channel that was static and tuned the transmitter to it, it had a real bad hiss. Oh, and I have to crank the MP3 player all the way up to get anything out of the radio. With the radio at volume level “15,” the hiss is just below the noticeable threshold and I can just hear the music. If I turn up the radio any more, the hiss gets to be unacceptable. The thing will probably just sit in the console of Matilda until I trade the car in because it really pisses me off. That’s $180.00 down the toilet. [ How much will Tim have to spend until he calls me before buying something.. - SM ] Well, I might take it with me on this trip to see if it works in Pat's truck. We’ll see. Ok, well, my replacement is here and I probably ought to show him around a bit. I'll have a report from the road tomorrow. Toodles.
