I don’t have anything new to report. Well, except that Gregg has found two RX-7s for sale for $400.00 and now he wants to go racing with one of them. I just nod my head and say, “yeah, that sounds like a good plan,” whenever he starts in on one of these things. And you thought I was flighty! Mom and my sister have left for Ohio to go to that basket thing they go to each year. They flew this time so my time home alone is going to be shorter than usual. They’ll be back Sunday. Oh, the cold air kit for Fifi arrived yesterday. I need to go look at the auction and see just exactly what I was promised. I seem to remember, “complete installation instructions included” being mentioned. The instructions are FAR from complete. In fact, they are nonexistent! If I weren’t mechanically inclined, I think I'd be pissed off about it. I mean if I knew nothing about cars, like most of the “Fast and the Furious” internot crowd who would be buying this product, I'd have no clue as to how to install this thing. As it stands, I think I'm going to have to modify it some anyway. There is a flipping great hole in the middle of the pipe that has no fitting whatsoever in it. What am I supposed to do with that? I'll probably weld it up. We’ll see. Oh, and the air filter is tiny to the point of being laughable. But hey, what can I expect for a kit that only cost $39.00 compared to over $200.00 for a K&N kit? I'll see what I can make of it and let y'all know. Spiderman asked me about a non sequitur in yesterday’s rant. I said something to the effect of, “He gives me a pump for the oil drum and I'm on my way north again.” Here’s what that means. He, Ray, was cleaning out his stuff, as he is wont to do from time to time, and came across a pump that Juan inserts into the bung of an oil drum to facilitate draining thereof. He knew he had no use for it anymore and that I had that waste oil drum at the shop in Beenbroke. He gave it to me while I was there on Sunday. See? It’s perfectly simple. If y'all would just read what I mean and not what I actually type, then we’d all be a lot happier. Invisible robot fish. John wanted to go see “The Simpson’s Movie” this evening. I haven’t heard from him to know whether or not we will. I guess I'll call him. Yeah, since it is now 1525 h, I think I'll shoost this off to Spiderman and give him a call. Have a day.
