10/24/07

I asked John his opinion of my thoughts yesterday and he said something about “eunuchs.” I guess he has the same opinion of programmers as I do. Oh, did I tell y’all about the air conditioner in Fifi? Here’s the short version to get you up to speed. The Friday before the last track day I drove Fifi to work. On the way to the shop from work I used the air conditioner. It cooled. On the way home from the shop I used the air conditioner. It cooled. On the way to the track it was cool out so I did not use the air conditioner. As I was about to leave the track I tried to use the air conditioner. It did not cool. I drove on to the shop and met John and we had a look under the hood to see what we could see. We found that the front half of the clutch on the compressor was gone. I still haven’t taken it in to be fixed. I ought to do that soon. Anyhoo, I was telling Tony this story at the SWSF Saturday. When I got to the part about looking under the hood and finding the clutch missing, he yelled out, “That was yours?!?!?!” Apparently the guys we left behind at Mineral Wells when John and I left had found it on the ground and wondered whose it was. So, now I know where it fell off but I'm still wondering how I didn’t hear it happen. It is a mystery still. Well, I don’t really have anything more to say right now. I think I'll go play solitaire or something. I'm back, but only because solitaire and mahjong were boring me. I'd like to cut out early but I'm supposed to meet some dude at 1700 h in the TOB to look at some computer TV thing he wants to show at the next Technology Town Hell. I just remembered that Tony and I were planning to go to a swap meet this Saturday. I guess I ought to send him an e-mail asking about that. I'll do that when I send this off to Spiderman. I really should forego the swap meet and spend the day at the shop working on George, the Seven, or Mr. Wiggly. Ok, so Mr. Wiggly will only take fifteen minutes or so to change the fuel filter, but I need to take him to get a state inspection. George will take… well I don’t know how long George will take. If I was that close to being done I'd get it done. The Seven has issues. I'm terrible at diagnosing so it could be down for quite a while. I just got a call from mom. She’s taking my sister home to Granbury and probably won’t be home for dinner. I may go have sushi tonight. I know, I threaten to do that on occasion but never follow through. We’ll see. Well, this isn’t doing it for me now. I think I'll call the rant complete and send it off. Have a day.
