Great. I have a blog now. I hope you're satisfied.

This is a test rant to see if I can save a “Word 2007” document as a “Word 2003” file. If you are reading this on the Miscellaneous Ramblings blog, then I was successful. If you aren’t, then I guess the whole thing is moo. I'm going to continue for a bit, just in case it does work, and ‘splain my absence. Sometime around September 20th, AO Hell’s e-mail system pissed me off to the point where my laptop developed a bad case of “fist in the keyboard.” As the picture showed, it also mysteriously caught fire outside the shop that Saturday. I bought another laptop but it has Windows Vista, an attempt by Tiny and Flaccid to look like Apple’s operating system, which is incompatible with older versions of Windows. Oh, I also had to spend hours at Cingular/AT&T getting the updated software loaded and a new air card so I could continue to use their slow-assed internot connection. In order to get me away from AO Hell, John set me up with a new e-mail thing, which doesn’t work by the way, so guess what; I still have to use AO Hell for e-mail. Woo hoo! That made my day. I haven’t made any more progress on the building of a shop at the Burkett house so I'm still working out of the Beenbroke shop. I took the Seven to the BNSF Family Day Car Show last Friday and it began to run like total crap on the way home. It wouldn’t pull past 3,000 rpm and I couldn’t give it more than about half throttle. Last weekend I changed the plugs, cap, rotor, wires, oil, oil filter, and fuel filter, adjusted the valves and timing, and cleaned up the insides of the carburetor dashpots. It ran a bit better. It still won’t pull over 3,500 rpm and stumbles over half throttle. I'm beginning to think that, in addition to poor adjustment of the carburetors, the fuel pump might be crapping out. We’re going to Mineral Wells tomorrow for a test and tune so maybe we’ll get it sorted out. Of course, since John is in California this weekend, he won’t get this until he gets back. If the thing will save as an old version file, he will be able to post it next week. Therefore all of this information will be days old if you get to read it. Ah, the old time paradox raises its head yet again. Well, like I said a few weeks ago, I really don’t care all that much anymore if y’all even get to see this. In fact, if you aren’t reading this on the blog, you won’t see any more from me. Well, I think I’ve said enough for now. Let’s see if I can do what I'm pretty sure I cannot.
