I'm dumb. I have had Darth Versa three days and I've already ordered black Altezza-style taillights, an AEM cold air intake kit, Tanabe lowering springs, a Stillen stainless steel axle back zorst, and a front strut tower brace. That’s $850.00 worth of stuff off the internot plus the $650.00 I'm going to drop on the Watanabe wheels. That’s $1,500.00 within the first week. I don’t do stuff like that. It will be one badass looking, riding, and sounding beast when I'm done though. I need to get those spare headlights back from John so I can see about disassembling them. I want to paint all the chrome inside the headlight housings black then reassemble them. Enrique wants to de-badge Matilda so I think I'm going to repossess the two Datsun roundels and badges for Darth Versa. Well, I'll use the roundels and the “Datsun” but the “Sunny Coupe” will be replaced with a “Sunny” matching the “Datsun” font. At some point I might look into having them all “gold plated” for a “John Player Special” look. But for now I think I'm going to go with a black and silver overall effect. The only other colors on the outside of the car will be the red, white, and blue in the roundels. Ok, there will be red taillights and amber turn signals if you want to be pedantic about it. Hopefully all of the parts will arrive before the weekend so I can get them all installed. It looks like, I think, we’re going to skip the car show in Houston this Saturday. The weather doesn’t look too promising. Then again, I might have misread John’s intentions when he sent me the weather report for the weekend. I haven’t heard back from him on my reply of, “So… wheels, tires, and springs on Darth Versa this Saturday?” I can hardly wait to get that thing off its tippy-toes. I'm almost embarrassed by it right now. Almost. I hate being the douche bag who keeps saying, “Well, wait until I put the (insert name of accessory du jour) on it. You’ll see then. I'll practice you!” but I do feel the need to defend my purchase from time to time. I don’t know. I guess it’ll pass. Oh, changing the subject abruptly, as I'm wont to, I called the number about my air card yesterday. They approved the replacement and a new card is on its way to my house as we speak. I need to send the old unit to them when it arrives. I'm wondering if I should clean the blood off of it first. It isn't much blood, just a tad where the thing sliced the tip of my finger as I was extracting it from the laptop. No, I think I'll leave it for them. There’s nothing like sending a biohazard through the USPS! Tee hee. Well, I'm bored. I think I'll go do something else for a bit.
