I'm babysitting another Board meeting. This has to be the most ludicrous waste of time ever. Ok, it would be the most ludicrous waste of time ever if my time was actually worth something, I acknowledge that, but it is still pretty stupid. I friggin’ hate this. I've nodded off several times already. It’s a good thing I'm sitting in a phone booth thingy mostly out of sight of all the Board members and the worrywart who makes me sit here. Feh, it is quite annoying. Ok, I'm so bored I just looked up names in the phone book. That’s bad. So, I was talking to someone the other day about electric cars. He got me thinking about an electric 1200 again. Thing is, I'm not sure which one I'd want to convert. George is too far along with the turbo A-13 to go back now. The Chickenhawk is sort of an icon of stupid speed with me and therefore really needs to get that V6 one day. Marty is a viable option I suppose, and so is Herman, sort of. Thing is, Herman is pretty far gone. He's rusty, bent, broken, abused, and should probably not even be considered. Oh wait, I just remembered the Louisiana Purchase! Steve/John has said it will be available once his Ute is up and running. There’s an idea. Ok, if I'm going to do an electric 1200, I will use the Louisiana Purchase. John says that George claims to have the title for it. I'm not sure how true that is though. We’ll see. Now, before you get your panties all up in a knot, the electric Louisiana Purchase will fall in line behind the Chickenhawk, behind Marty, and behind George. I think I've given up on Barbecue Bob again. I think I'm going to go back to being a B-110/210/310 guy. Of course that doesn’t mean I'm planning to keep Barbara or the brown 210. John was in discussion with a guy who wants Barbara, and Gregg has the brown 210 sold I believe. Don’t worry, I'm not going to go into the whole, “I really should sell Mr. Wiggly as well, but I really like that stupid van” thing. Well, except to say it right there. I think we can all assume that Mr. Wiggly is in the family for a while. I think I want to move ahead with the concrete drive around the south side of the house. I have a plan that I think will work. Ok, just exactly how stupid is that last sentence? Of course I think my plan is going to work. If I didn’t think it was going to work I probably wouldn’t consider it a plan. I mean I do come up with plans that don’t work, but until they are proven to be bad plans they all look like they will work. That’s all I'm saying. Anyhoo, where was I? Oh right, the concrete drive around the south side of the house. I think I want to cap off the sprinklers next to the lower patio out to the corner of the house. I want the lower patio extended out to the edge of the house and the drive to be poured between the sprinklers in the middle of the yard. Yes, the sprinklers will water the driveway but I think we can pitch the thing so it runs off into the yard and not into the street. Eventually I can build the deck/carport over the drive as well. I'm thinking I'd like for it to be separate from the house with little bridges going from the doors to the two upstairs bedrooms. It makes sense in my head, don’t worry about it. I guess it just depends on how far from the house the near side of the driveway turns out to be. If it is a few feet, then the deck can attach to the house. If it is ten feet or something, I'd like the bridges. Again, it makes sense in my head. I'll draw it up in Paint one of these days, once I measure where the sprinklers are. John and I were talking about this plan for me to have parking for the running fleet at the house and what that means for the shop. I think I still want to build the huge shop in Boyd and plan to rent space to my friends. I'm thinking that the building will have one main entrance and center drive. Off of that center drive would be lockable stalls for people to store their projects and toys. I think each stall should be big enough to work in and should have compressed air chucks, power outlets, and decent lighting. I'd have a large work bay under HVAC behind another interior door as well. Depending on how much they were willing to pay a month, the “tenants” of the outer stalls could have free reign of that area as well. Hmm, this venture might turn out to be a money making idea yet. Well, the Board just let out so I'm headed back to my office. I may continue this after lunch and I may not. We’ll see.
