No, other than this one mention, I'm not going to say anything about it being VD. Friggin’ “Greeting Card” holiday. Ok, the first mention and the grumble just then. But that’s all I'm going to say about it. So, I was looking at my to-do list for George. I'm really not too far off from making that car run. Motivation just seems to be the biggest stumbling block in the project. Well, lack thereof. I think once we move Marty out and John’s 1200 in we’ll both be more motivated. Hell, just seeing Marty’s pretty little butt sitting outside in the weather will probably be all the motivation I need. Ok, that sounded a whole lot less gay in my head. So, Gregg’s step daughter supposedly wants to buy Barbara from me. I'm waiting for John to tell me what his buddy has to say on the deal. Remember, he had a guy on the hook to buy it last week, or was it earlier this week? It doesn’t matter. I'm waiting to hear from him before committing with Gregg. If John’s buddy buys it, there’s still the Toyota John drug home as a possibility for Gregg’s SD. We’ll see. I mentioned Mr. Wiggly to Gregg as a possibility for her. He screamed when I went on to say something about converting the back into a “Shaggin’ Wagon” for her. “Cut it out!” he said. “We’re supposed to be the responsible adults here.” Can’t you just see an 18 year old girl pulling up to school in Mr. Wiggly? Or better yet, picture her pulling up to the keg party with a van full of her friends! Ok, perhaps he’s right and we don’t need to put another teen into that sort of situation. So, Barbara it is. Well, Barbara or the Toyota, whichever one John doesn’t sell out from under her. I had a thought just now, with just a teeny bit more work than either of those cars would require; he could have Barbecue Bob on the road for her. I won’t mention that until both the others fall through though. I do know he wants Barbecue Bob pretty badly so he might go either way on that idea. I don’t know the girl that well, or at all for that matter, so I don’t know how much abuse she would heap on it. I’m beginning to think I won’t mention it at all now. We’ll see. I've been thinking some more about the shop in Boyd as a money maker. I think there might be a market for a place where people can park their toys in a secure environment. Call it “protecting” or “hiding” or “storing” or whatever, I think folks with exotics, or hot rods, or whatever might be willing to rent spots from me. I think if I supplied a secure, enclosed, weather proof facility where their toy could live on a trickle charger away from kids, critters, wives, girlfriends, and other potential damaging influences, with facilities for them to maintain and work on them if they want, as well as washing and detailing service available, the place could probably pay for itself. I'd have to get a ton of insurance though, and have an iron-clad contract written up for each tenant, but I think it could work. The big question is do I set a rate for a bay or for what goes in it? For instance, I'd want to charge someone twice as much to store a Hardley Dumb-assed-one as I would a… well, anything cool. Make that three times as much. I'd think the rate would go up according to value as well. Anything that would deplete the existing insurance coverage for total loss, for instance, would have to pay more so I could get more coverage. I guess an agreed upon “declared value” would have to be set in the contract as well. I wonder if there are any lawyers in Boyd looking for an office. I could build one for them in the corner, rent them the space, and keep them on retainer. Hey! There’s another service I could offer: on site ticket-fixer! This is just wacky enough that it might work. Ok, so I'd probably have to relent on my “triple fee for Hardly Dumb-assed-ones” if it were to really happen. Hmm, my sister mentioned my brother-in-law wanting to talk to me about financing the building in Boyd. I wonder if he’d want to partner up on this deal. I need to do some more ciperin’ and figgerin’ on this. I'll keep y'all informed as things progress. Well, that is, if things progress. You know what I mean. Toodles.
