Well, let me see if I can come up with enough stuff today to justify sending this to Spiderman. I'm really enjoying the Dingleberry phone. I'm not using all of its features of course, being the semi-Luddite that I am, but the ones I am using are keeping me entertained. Ok, so that line of thinking didn’t really go very far. What can I say about cars? Well, I think once Gregg has his dude come pick up those RX-7s I might move Marty out and offer the main bay to John for his 1200. I think if I can get him inside and working on it, he will motivate me to A) finish George and 2) get Marty going. I think if we each have a project in the works down there, we’ll both be motivated to go down there more regularly and get some work done. Of course the most important and pressing issue at the shop is the fact that the place is such a pig’s sty that work is nigh impossible. Perhaps once the RX-7s are gone both Marty and George should go outside for a while so we can give the place a really good cleaning. It’s not like I don’t have a pickup truck and a van we could fill with trash and make a dump run. Hell, I've even got a trailer we could load up with junk now that I think about it. Yeah, I think a good “Spring Cleaning” might just have to happen at old DLR. I ought to make John inventory, consolidate, and clear out all those 510 parts he accumulated and dumped in my place. I won’t, but I ought to. [ Tell you what, if I have an inside space to work, I'll move ALL those parts to my house. Deal? - SM ] I should also forget any thoughts of resurrecting Barbecue Bob and Barbara. Both of them should be sold “as is, where is” and walk away with whatever I can get for them. I'm already in too deep with licensing, insuring, and inspecting Darth Versa, Fifi, Shi-Chi (which, by the way, I'm considering as the new name for the Seven), Mr. Wiggly, and eventually Marty and George. Ok, ok, I really should sell Mr. Wiggly as well. I know it, I acknowledge it, it makes perfect sense, but I really like that van! Not to mention, it actually runs and drives. I can’t even say that about Shi-Chi right now. Well, I don’t know what else to say. It is approaching noon and I have a 1245 h appointment. I think I'm going to go ahead and have some lunch. I may return to say more and I may not. We’ll see. And I'm back. This morning I met with a dude to show him how to use the equipment in the Bored Room. When we were through he called me out into the hall and gave me a $50.00 gift card for P. F. Chang’s. Since John and I had eaten there once in the past, I sent him an e-mail from my Dingleberry telling him about it. He replied asking when we were going. We were looking at this evening but now it looks like Saturday is more likely. Have I mentioned how much I like the new Dingleberry? Oh right, I see it up there. John calls it a Crackberry, but I prefer Dingleberry for some reason. I can see the logic behind his appellation due to (tee hee, I said doo-doo!) the addictive nature of the thing, but I think Dingleberry is funnier. Oh, I guess that’s my reason. So, there you have it. Um, yeah. Well, I guess that train of thought just doesn’t go anywhere no matter how many times I try it. Mom and I were listening to the Forties station on XM last night on the way home from dinner and heard a song about the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe railroad. Now, as a faithful reader of this tome, you will remember that I work for the BNSF Railway Company. The AT&SF was one of the myriad railroad companies which came together over the last century and a half or so to become the BNSF. In fact, with very little sleuthing, Juan could probably have fingered out that the “SF” in BNSF is the same “SF” as the AT&SF. But enough condescending, the reason I mention it is there is a line in the song about people riding the AT&SF “… all the way from Phil-a-del-phi-a.” I laughed and told mom that the AT&SF stopped in Chicago and didn’t even go to Philadelphia. She asked how I knew that so I told her the same boring and condescending story I just told y'all. Wow, I just re-read it and it truly is a boring and condescending story. Perhaps I should delete it. No, I think I'll leave it in for padding since I left y'all in the lurch yesterday with no rant. Hmm, what to say now? Well, I've got nothin’ again. I think I'm going to just cut my losses and call it a rant. Y'all have a day.
