Whell, that whas quite a wheekend. What’s whith the extra “H’s”? I don’t know. I'll stop now, moist likely. So, Friday evening we didn’t have the Old School Japanese Car Meet for reasons ‘splained on Friday. We’re supposed to do it this Friday. Wheel see. Sorry, I forgot. Saturday morning, 0800 h, John texts me to see where I am in relation to the dealership where we were meeting for my oil change. I text back that I'm in line waiting to get in the building. I wasn’t when I received the text but was when I finally read it. He was out front so I walked around to meet him once they had my information, keys, and a plan in effect. We rolled out. It was 28 degrees so John suggested breakfast. I said I could eat so we went to Mimi’s. We discussed Barbecue Bob as a “Mad Max” homage car. I pushed for one of the yellow MFP cars while he backed the “since it is a two-door hard-top it should be a black interceptor” idea. I think I succumbed to his powers of persuasion and relented. I did throw an “Aw, c’mon, how cool would that yellow look?” in every once in a while through the day though. He was not convinced. After breakfast we tried to go to Best Buy to buy a head unit and speakers for Fifi. I had two gift cards and decided that was the way to spend them. BB was not open yet at 0900 h so we headed on to the shop. There, we rolled Timmy and Barbecue Bob out so John could shoost some pictures and photochop them together later. We also took some pictures of Gregg’s Moostank so we could put it up on e-Bay. I asked if John would be willing to take point and contact Gregg about copy and such then put it up for us. I'm supplying the e-Bay account and will have to field all the questions. All of a sudden, I was finished with my Mimi’s breakfast. I took off across the parking lot with a roll of “hockey tickets.” It was a close dash but I made it just in time. Without getting too graphic on y'all, I’ll just say it took way more paper than usual, and I'm not 100% sure the “cleanup in isle one” was totally successful. I had MUBS later. The point is I clogged the toilet. I heard the facilities guy on the tractor outside so I went out and asked if he had a plunger. He went and got it and I got the thing flowing again. I semi duck-walked back to the shop. It felt like a piece of liver stuck between my cheeks. No, not really, but it was a bit odd feeling. I wasn’t about to attempt any more paper though. I'd fight through it. So, back at the shop we play with some more stuff for a bit and discuss stuff and things and junk. We replaced the *BAM*s on the fenders of George with some Vitoloni Baby Turbos. (*Big Assed Mirrors*) They look much better and are out of the way of the hood. I'm sure we did other stuff as well but the only other thing I remember doing was installing the Sunny roundel on the beaver panel. The problem was the roundel was from a 1000, not a 1200. The 1000 has a flat beaver panel whereas the 1200 has a crown in the middle. We wound up sawing the back half of a 1200 roundel off and sandwiching it between the 1000 roundel and the beaver panel. It almost looks too good to be on the back of George. [ I have a solution for that... - SM ] Oh yeah, John also installed the Hello Kitty Storm Trooper decal on the back window of George. It looks awesome. We were thinking of doing a Chickenhawk-style paintjob on George with flat black sides and a pink top but I may reconsider with the white HK Storm Trooper on the window. All white, flat of course, could be an option now that Marty/Timmy is off my inventory. We’ll see. As it was approaching 1300 h, we decided it was time to call it a day. We rolled Timmy back into the shop, Barbecue Bob having been rolled back into his parking spot while I was releasing hostages, and cleaned up. From the shop we went back to Best Buy. I chose a $99.00 JVC head unit, two pair of $99.00 speakers (yes, I spent twice as much on the speakers as the head unit), and another $70.00 worth of installation kit and wiring harness adapter thingy. My gift cards totaled $150.00 so I was still out $220.00 for the sound system. I probably should have bought the $79.00 head unit because I doubt I'll ever add the Blue-tool, HD radio, XM adapter, or any of the other features the other $20.00 bought me. But then again, Juan never knows. Darth Versa does have me spoiled to the XM and Blue-tool. We’ll see. From BB we went to Don Pablo’s and had lunch. After that we went back to the Hill of Thorns and picked up Darth Versa. I went to Pat’s house to borrow his Ford radio removal tools and then went home for the evening. I think I'll save Sunday’s tale for tomorrow. It’s a doozie.
