I was going to wish y'all a Happy First Day of Spring but realized I really don’t care. Have a Crappy First Day of Spring if you want. It’ll be mostly over by the time this gets posted anyway. Well, the first day will be mostly over. Spring, having just sprung and all, still has until, um, whenever summer starts. Oh never mind. So I'm sitting here trying to think of stuff to say to y'all. I got a message from someone the other day telling me about some things they bought arriving. I'm not sure if the things are secret though so I don’t really feel like I can talk about it. Why did I bring it up then? Because we’ll be messing with them at the shop on Saturday, that’s why. Oh, I just thought of something. The other day it was raining. I parked Darth Versa in a spot near the edge of the parking garage without thinking about how the runoff from the top level would hit the car. Turns out it hit the car right on the chrome/stainless strips of the grille. Yes, the chrome/stainless strips John and I, mostly John, ok all John, painted the day I bought the car. The constant drip off the structure pointed out a flaw in our, mostly John’s, preparation. The paint peeled off in big chunks. Oh wait, that sounds like I'm blaming him, I'm not, really. Ok, I am busting his balls a little about it, but it will be an easy fix. We, probably mostly he, will just have to scuff the surface better, or at all, this time and repaint. Of course I really I wish I could find another carbon fiber grille like the one on Matilda. But I think I threw away the box it came in so I have no way of contacting the supplier. I know Enrique won’t go for it so I haven’t suggested trading with him for a stock grille either. I guess I'm just going to have to finish filling the recess on that Nissan grill if I want another smoothie. Perhaps I could work on that this weekend while, let’s say Themistocles works on those things he bought for that project he’s working on. Ok, I know I need to finish George. I'll probably work on the rear axle of that car, along with assisting John with repainting Darth Versa’s grille, while Themistocles works on his things. Speaking of child abuse through mental anguish, I think if I ever had a kid, I'd name a boy Themistocles Agamemnon or a girl Nausicaa Aphrodite. In fact, to further ensure my bachelorhood, I think I will insist on those names in a pre-nuptial agreement if ever some chick tries to force me down the aisle. That ought to do it. Unless I somehow hook up with a Greek chick, I suppose. It would be my luck that those are old family names she has wanted to use since she was a little girl. Perhaps some names which are a little more universal, as in universally hated. The only thing I can think of is Adolph Judas for a boy though. Oh, maybe Lucrecia Medusa would be a “good” girl’s name. Then there was the time my brother consulted me on a name for his kid. I said, “If it is a girl, how about Denise?” When he asked what I’d suggest for a boy I said, “De-nephew of course.” Bah-dum-bum! Thank you. Thank you. You’ve been a great audience. I'm here through Thursday. Try the veal. And on that lame assed old “joke,” I think I'll call it a rant. I'm off tomorrow so don’t be surprised if you don’t hear from me again until Monday. Toodles.
