I'm not sure what I'll say today. I seem to remember having more to say yesterday but not getting to say it for some reason. Oh, I remember the reason now, Tiny and Flaccid pissing me off. Unfortunately, I don’t remember what it was I was going to say. I guess I'll talk about the $1k Datsun cylinder head. Those pictures at the end of yesterday’s post were in fact the crappy shots I sent to Spiderman. The one shows, but not very well, the heat barrier coating in the combustion chamber and how close it has been shaved to the spark plug holes. The other shows the intake port work and, again not very well, the heat barrier coating in the zorst port. I took some other pictures of the other head to show where they had cut into a water jacket when porting. Well, that was why I took them two heads. The plan all along was to start hogging out the port and look for water jackets. If they hit one, they were going to make note of the depth and go a little less on the other head. I need to study the flow bench printout to see how much of an improvement they made. I'm getting excited about having Shi-Chi on the road again. Now if that gazinta/gazowta gasket will arrive in time I'll be in high cotton. Here’s how I see tomorrow going, I'll work on installing the head on Shi-Chi while John piddles with his car. I'll have to shoo him away continuously or he’ll totally ignore his project and help me with mine. I'll get the head and everything but the intake and exhaust manifolds on, since I won’t have the gasket of course, and have to stop for the day. Oh, I suppose that since I'm going to have to redesign the zorst to fit with the manifold I'll have plenty to do, now that I think about it. Ok, so we’ll work until early afternoon I'm sure then go eat and to the gun show. I will need to remember to not bring cash along or I might just buy a gun. I really want a .50 caliber pistol. I want to lob a half inch diameter hunk of lead when I pull the trigger. I'd prefer that Smith & Wesson revolver to a Desert Eagle, but the DE would hold a few more rounds per reload. Of course I'm not sure I'm “gangsta” enough to use a DE. Speaking of gangstas, I wonder when gunsmiths are going to start putting sights on the side of the gun so those douche bags can aim them when firing sideways like they do. I don’t know it was just a thought. Well, that was weird. I think I started typing just as the laptop was about to go into screen saver because about halfway into that last sentence my screen flashed black. Can something really “flash” black? I guess it blanked out for a fraction of a second. Yeah, that’s more like it. Anyhoo, it was weird. Well, I think I'm going to shut up for a bit and do something else. I'll come back later if I think of anything else to say. And I didn’t. I'm home now preparing to send this off to Spiderman. Y'all enjoy your long weekend and I'll talk to you again Monday.
