So, there once was a man from Nantucket. I hear that stories of his physical attributes are greatly exaggerated. In case you haven’t noticed, I got nothin’ today. I was thinking about writing a story the other day. Perhaps I'll revisit that notion. Well, revisit it in the real world rather than here since I never mentioned it to y'all before. At one time, back in college, I began a science fiction story on my Smith Corona word processing typewriter. Of course it is lost to the universe with the demise of that unit and its associated storage media. Oh well, what are you going to do? It was probably crap anyway. Although, my roommate Vince read what I had and said he liked it. Hmm, perhaps I will start another work. Of course using the internot for my writing porpoises has greatly diminished my proper use of grammar. I'm not sure I could form a proper paragraph any more. I suppose I could look up some grammar rules and stuff and re-learn how to write. Gee, that seems like a lot of work though. Y'all do know that I'm a very lazy man, right? I suppose I could just go ahead and write the thing and if it were ever deemed suitable for publication an editor could fix the grammar. Or, I could be one of those “eccentric” writers who doesn’t play by the rules and uses his own style! Ok, so I just looked up “paragraph” on Wikipœdia and they pretty much reaffirmed what I thought I remembered about writing. Of course breaking the habits of almost ten years of unstructured ranting, like what y'all are reading now, might just be too much for my lazy ass to undertake. Now, having said all of that, y'all are probably never going to know whether or not I actually went through with it. Oh, I suppose I'd probably mention it in a future rant now that I think about it. Never mind. See, where I was going with that was if I had it saved elsewhere in this laptop, and never attempted to publish it, it would just be my little secret. We’ll just have to wait and see I guess. Well, since Pat and I won’t be going to the 24 Hours of LeMons this weekend, I guess I can do some of the other events which are going on. There’s that Christian Classic Cruisers show at the Birdville ISD Stadium on Saturday. Bernie Long usually attends that and it was one of the events of the Southwest Sevens festival last year. I'll bounce the idea off of John and see if he thinks Shichi is ready for a show like that. I know it is cleaner than it was last year for the same show. Yeah, I'll probably attend that one. Sunday is a British car gathering held by, um, that guy with a British car shop who has a gathering every year. Dang, I wish I could remember his name. Well, whatever it is, he’s having a gathering and gimmick rally sort of thing on Sunday. I'll probably do that as well. I need to contact Tony and see if he’s planning to come out for it. I can see him foregoing it since they did just have a baby last week. But then again, I can see him doing it since they just had a baby last week. Well, I've been to lunch now and am rapidly losing interest in this rant. Besides, I think I've wasted enough of our time for one session. Perhaps I'll have something… know what? I'm not even going to say that this time. Have a day.
