Ugh! Today was Hispanic Heritage Day at the railroad. I had to set up the sound system so they could play their “music” and do their little games and contests and crap. At least this group knows to have a person assigned to run the sound board! I didn’t have to stay for the whole event. And I have to keep repeating to myself “At least it wasn’t Native American Heritage day.” Of course that is coming up next month and they are already annoying me about it. Anyhoo, I went back to the event to grab some lunch just as they were having the Jalapeño Eating Contest. All they had to do was eat six jalapeño peppers faster than anyone else. Sounds simple, right? I'm not sure what the problem was but it took them all forever to get it done. The winner was… well, I don’t remember, but the second place was my Goth Chick! Cor! She’s getting hotter and hotter the more I know about her. Oh, ha! I didn’t mean that pun about her getting hotter because of the jalapeños. It just happened. Anyhoo, I'm getting more enamored with her every day. I am going to have to tell her how she cost me $1,000.00 one of these days. Remember, I had the dream about her then went to the strip club looking to blow some money on a Goth Chick but “wound up” with the toothless hillbilly instead? The quotes are because no naughty bits intermingled. No way! Had I found a Goth Chick, well that might have been a different story. But anyhoo, the HHD is over and now I'm sitting at my desk talking to y'all. Oh, I got an e-mail from Pat that just about made me pee myself. He said, “So we had this Amazonian hillbilly delivery driver come into the shop this morning. I made a comment about Jethrine needing someone to meet her in receiving. Nobody got it.” I just wish I had been there for that because I was laughing my ass off hearing the story second hand. Hell, I'm laughing about it again just retyping it! I just printed out his e-mail to hang on the wall of my office. Well, being as how it is 1520 h, and I need to go back to the TOB for a bit, I think I'm going to call it a rant. Y'all have a day.
