Well, it is officially “butt-assed butt-butt cold” today. In fact, I wore my big leather coat and “pillbox” hat. I'm still not sure if I'm black enough to wear those, but I do it every winter. Anyhoo, yesterday I discovered that a company called HKS makes a speed loader that will work for the Judge. I stopped at Cheaper than Dirt to see if they had any but fortunately they did not. If they had I'd have bought one or two and I don’t want to support those douche bags. Why stop then? Because shut up, that’s why. I then went to Elk Castle and they had a display hook for the proper part number but were sold out. The dude said he’d order more and I told him I'd buy at least two. “Well,” I clarified, “I'll buy one and see if it works then I'll come back for at least one more.” Since speed loader belt clip holster thingies usually hold two loaders, I don’t see me buying more than two. Of course if they work with shotgun shells too, I might buy some more to carry in my pocket. We’ll see. Well, my fifteen-round clips for the Space Gun arrived the other day. Yeah, they don’t fit. Now before you get all up in a tizzy about it, I didn’t expect them to fit with the aftermarket stock so it isn't a big deal. I'm going to the shop tonight to grind away on the sleeves to make them work. The clips fit if I remove the sleeves but they are a tad flolloppy in the hole. I'm not sure if they will feed properly unsupported. John has already said it doesn’t look good for going to the shop tonight, for him at least, so I might swing by the range and test out the new clips without the sleeves. I've got the gun, the three ten-round clips, the two fifteen-round clips and fifty rounds of range ammo in the car. I kind of want to buy some more self defense ammo as well to keep the clips loaded. Then again, am I ever going to need more than twenty five rounds of jacketed hollow point ammo? I'm thinking long and hard about dropping the $240.00 for the thousand round case of Sellier & Bellot range ammo at SMR. I shot fifty or a hundred rounds of that stuff and it seemed ok. Of course I'm not going to be anywhere near SMR for a while, not until they get another shipment of Hi-Point 9mm pistols! No, I really don’t need to buy another pistol. I have got to keep telling myself that. I do not need another 9mm pistol. They sure are inexpensive though. It might not hurt to leave one at the shop as a backup plan. There are coyotes out there. We’ll see if they call when a new batch comes in. I'm not holding my breath for that contingency. Well feh, I'm bored talking to y'all. I think I'm going to play solitaire for a bit and maybe take a nap. Ok, it is now 1600 h and I think I'm going to call it a day. I'll let y'all know how the trip to the range and the shop went tomorrow.
