Well, we did it. John, Pat and I survived the eight-hour ass-whip that is the Texas Concealed Handgun License training class [ By my count it was 11 hours - SM ]. By the way, from now on I'm going to refer to the CHL as the Double Naught Spy License or just Double Naught Spy. I've got my paperwork here ready to send in to the state. All I need now is the money order and postage. Pat has already sent his in but John and I are slacking. I'll be he gets his in before I do though. We’ll see. Since Saturday was a washout, with the Double Naught Spy class all day, I guess I'll jump ahead and tell y'all about Sunday. I didn’t do squat. Ok, that’s not entirely true. I spent the morning watching “The Prisoner” DVDs waiting for mom to come home from church. I ate the leftover sushi from Saturday evening and wasn’t all that hungry so we didn’t go to lunch until 1400 h or so. Pat called to ask if there were jack stands at the shop because he needed to rotate the tires on Nora’s Jeep. I said there were and that I'd join him there in a little while. After dropping mom off at the house, and picking up my gun bag, I took Mr. Wiggly to the shop. I watched Pat rotate tires and then cleaned my guns. I thought about going to Cutie Patootie’s range to see if my Judge was ready and drop off the Hebrew Hammer to have the ramp polished, but then didn’t do it. Maybe Wednesday, we’ll see. Eventually we left the shop and I wasted the rest of the evening watching “The Prisoner.” So, that was my weekend. How was yours? Oh, the spare magazines for the Hebrew Hammer arrived over the weekend. So I now have three clips for it and the space gun, and two each for Millie and Slick Willie, as well as two speed loaders for the Judge. I'd have to say I do not feel under armed. As for the Double Naught Spy License, I think I might revise my plan on what I'll carry when/if I carry. I think I'm going to plan on carrying Millie in the holster I bought for Slick Willie. It is a left-handed belt-clip model which fits the gun perfectly. I think if I use it as an inside the waistband holster, with the belt clip facing away from my body, it should work. I may need to invest in a bunch of long-tailed T-shirts to cover it though. Then again, I might start wearing a vest with a conceal pocket inside. I doubt I could pull of the fanny-pack though. [ You are gay, but not gay enough, for that... - SM ] I may give that a bash, but I doubt I'll like it. Having said all of that, I may try the Hebrew Hammer in the small holster and see if it would work inside the waistband. I can’t remember if it will even fit in the holster. I think I did, but I'm just not sure right now. I really ought to try all that out one of these evenings before changing out of my work clothes. Ok, I'm tired of talking to y'all today. This week might just be a bit light on the rants. Deal with it.
