I'm getting a late start on the rant today so it will moist likely be a short one. There were supposed to be links to pictures of the Steyr and the three FR guns listed yesterday but apparently they don’t translate from Vista’s version of Word to Blogspot’s version. I don’t blame Spiderman for not making working links because a) I know what a pain in the ass it was finding them myself earlier in the day and 2) I did tell y'all to find the damned pictures yourselves anyway! Geez, we gotta do everything for you candy asses? So anyhoo, after work I did go take a look at Kalashnikovs and… I guess I ought to call them “Stoners” to be consistent. See, the AR-15/M-16 was designed by Eugene Stoner whereas the AK-47 was designed by Mikhail Kalashnikov therefore… yeah, so I went to look at AK-47s and AR-15s after work yesterday. I wasn’t all that impressed with the AK after all. In fact, the dude had me just about convinced that an AR is the way to go. Of course I won’t go that route. If I decide to buy an “Assault Rifle” chambered in .223 caliber or 5.7mm, I'm going to get an FN since they aren’t that much more, if at all. Ok Spiderman, now I'd like these links to work: F2000 and P90 please. I think I'm leaning towards the F2000 because… well, look at it! Homina homina homina! Now THAT’S a Space Gun! Of course if I got the P90 I could be just like SG-1 from the TV show “Stargate SG-1.” JAFAR! KREE! Ok, you’d have to be a Sci-Fi geek to get that one. I'm almost embarrassed to have typed it. Almost. Anyhoo, I looked at the two “mainstream” “Assault Rifles” and came away somewhat convinced that .223 would be acceptable. I asked, again, about the Ruger LCR but they aren’t expecting them until the middle of April. He said they get a Magnum Judge every now and then so I need to be ready to buy when I see one in the case next time. It’ll probably have to be the time after the next time, but I didn’t tell him that. We’ll see. So, Tony is bringing his Seven to AUTOCOMP tomorrow morning where he and Pat are going to do an alignment and set corner weights and stuff. I'm thinking of dragging Shichi out to go meet them. Of course if it is as cold and rainy as it is now, I might not. I'll let y'all know on Monday what went down. Well, it is crowding 1700 h and I have to go pee so I think I'm going to call it a rant.
