So Friday morning, around 0545 h, I'm awoken by “thunder.” But this “thunder” had a distinctive “sproingy” undertone to it which caused me to doubt its heavenly origin. I began to think we may have had another garage door spring break. Hmm, I wonder if any search engines are going to refer people here looking for “Spring Break” stuff. Granny panties! Fetish gear! Cosmological constant! Squirrels on water skis! Man bites dog! Anyhoo, I roll back over and go back to sleep. Fifteen minutes later when my alarm goes off, I get up and get ready for work. On my way out, I inspect the garage for a broken spring. Sure enough, the south spring on mom’s door had broken. I muscled the door open and moved her car out then closed and disabled the door. Saturday morning while waiting for John to pick me up, I fixed the spring. I'd lost the little “S” clip which attaches the cable to the frame but made due with a hook thingy I found in the garage. Once I was happy with the fix, I went inside to watch cartoons until John arrived. I'm tempted to delete that because it just might be the most boring story I've ever related to y'all. Oh wait, I forgot to mention the onion I was wearing on my belt, that being the style of the day… Ok, so I've been away from the desk for a while, I had to take someone a microphone across the street, but now I'm back. Unfortunately I don’t have anything to add. Perhaps I'll come back after lunch with something to say. We’ll see. I'm back but it is now 1600 h and I don’t know just how much longer I'm going to stay. I've been trying to think positively about George, since Shichi exhibited similar symptoms and was quickly fixed. John topped off the radiator in George on Saturday but we’re exactly one battery short of trying to start it again. Now I need to decide whether George, Barbecue Bob, or Roku-Hyaku is the next project in line. Roku-Hyaku will probably win since it is the one currently tying up a bay in the shop. We really need to decide what we’re going to do with that car and do it. Now that Shichi is back on the road, I don’t have many excuses. I don’t know, we’ll see. Well, I think I'm done for the day. I won’t be ranting tomorrow, at least not where y'all can see it, due to (tee hee, I said doo-doo!) the usual Wednesday shop night. Have a day.
