Bah, feh, and any other noises I can make to express irk, pique, and all other verbs to describe my dissatisfaction, with stuff, things, and junk in general. I know it is irrational to be… crap, I'm afeared the only word to describe it is “jealous.” Ok, let me start that one over with that aside in mind. I know it is irrational to be “jealous” of John’s wife wanting him to spend time with his family, but dag-nabbit! I want to go play at the shop with him! Oh sure, I can work on my cars by myself, and to be honest I sometimes do get more done alone, and if I'm not too concerned with opinions I'll do things I might not otherwise do, be they right or wrong, and… wait, where was I going with that? I don’t know. I guess I'm just being girlie. Oh, in case you haven’t fingered it out, we’re not doing the usual shop day Saturday. Apparently it is his son’s birthday or something and they’re doing family stuff. Again, I recognize I have no right to be annoyed by this. But I am, a little. Sorry. Well, I guess I'll plan to find and fix the horn issue on Shichi tomorrow and put off the carburetor installation for a while. It really does make more sense to keep the thing as a runner for as long as possible, I guess. Then again, if the thing is out of tune as bad as I assume it to be, how much “damage” am I doing by continuing to run it this way? Should I suck it up and go ahead with the carburetor swap? Hmm, it is a conundrum. Well, on another note, since Dick Brink informed me that he doesn’t have any used bonnets, I've been trying to think of a way to make the current bonnet work. I think what I'm going to do is buy some decorative mesh, screen, or expanded metal type stuff and fill the hole with it. I'll ‘splain it as an “Anti-Vapor-Lock Heat-Dispersal Port” or some such bullshit. Yeah, it’ll be the AVLHDP! Perhaps I can come up with an acronym that actually spells something. Let me think a minute. Ok that is taking too long. I'll come up with something. Anyhoo, I'm thinking about that thin aluminum stuff with decorative holes punched through it. Much like the stuff you won’t remember that we used for speaker grilles in the deck of Mini-Pearl. Now here’s what I'd absolutely love to find: Hello Kitty shaped holes! Tiny ones, of course. I mean like less than ½” across, ¼” would be even better. Teeny tiny to be exact. Alas, I have no idea where to find such a material. I've tried the internot but we all know that it is impossible to find anything remotely useful there. And now I've been away from the desk for about four hours. I got called to help some idiot turn something on, or something, and then went to lunch. While at lunch I decided I “needed” more ammo to fill in some holes in the storage boxes. Yeah, I'm a little OCD about those things. I bought twenty more rounds of .45 Colt Werewolf ammo, twenty rounds of 2 ½” .410 shotgun shells, and five rounds of 2 ½” .410 rifled slug rounds. I wanted five more 000 buckshot rounds but they were out. I said to myself as I was leaving that I'd probably regret most of that purchase since I'm not even sure if this brand of shell will work in my Judge. I've had trouble before but then again I had trouble ejecting some of the “known quantity” shells the other day. We’ll see. I was about to say I should have bought some more of those Golden Bear 2 ¾” #4 buckshot shells for Mossy but then remembered they didn’t have any of that ammo either. Oh well. Ok, so I'm trying to think of stuff to say but am failing at it. I think I might just have to call it a rant. I'll probably go finger out the horn issue in Shichi tomorrow and perhaps look at the carburetors again. Oh, I'll also finger out a way to secure the clamp on the zorst hanger as well. I have an idea but I need to have a look to see if it will work. Worst case, I can always zook the hose clamp to the hanger and make it permanent. We’ll see. Yeah, I'm done for the week. I'll let y'all know how the weekend went on Monday. Buh bye.
