I'm worried about Gubment Motors. Can’t anyone see that nationalizing the auto industry is another step forward in Borat Osama’s Socialist agenda? How long will it be before a huge tax is added to all new cars but big tax breaks are given to folks who buy Gubment Motors products? How long before there are regulations making it impossible for anyone but Gubment Motors to sell a car in the US? How long before older cars are made illegal so that everyone has to buy a new Gubment Motors car? [ The entire US government will collapse before that happens. Come on and secede, Texas!!! - SM ] The added touch of making the UAW part owners scares the crap out of me too. How long will it be before the UAW members working at Ford are pressured into “accidentally” making mistakes on the assembly line? Or for that matter, how long will they be allowed to continue working for the competition? Not that I don’t think booting the unions out of the auto industry would be a bad thing, mind you. Hell, it might behoove Ford to de-unionize in the wake of the Gubment Motors fiasco. And another thing, I don’t recall being asked if I wanted to be a part owner in Gubment Motors. Had they asked, I would have said, “Let the sinking ship fail.” I've never held back my dislike for Genital Motors. I would have laughed my ass off had they gone under. I intend to do just that when this fiasco fails, here’s hoping. Oh jeeze, I just had another thought regarding the UAW. Since part of the “bailout” agreement was that the UAW cannot go on strike at Gubment Motors for a certain amount of time, how long will it be before Ford is hit with crazy demands by them to force a confrontation, a confrontation that Ford cannot win but will be a boon to Gubment Motors? I'm scared. I'm also worried that stupid, no-neck, mouth breathing, union idiots are going to blame those of us who bought good cars for their downfall. I'm glad I have my Double Naught Spy License so I can protect myself from vandals and other morons who are likely to come after those of us who don’t drive Gubment Motors vehicles. Suffices to say, I will be avoiding the Arlington Gubment Motors plant area for a while. If I do have to go to that part of town, I'll sure plan to drive Fifi, and be carrying. Of course I'll have a slightly tougher time avoiding the dumbass hillbilly NASCAR fans that will be pissed off if (or hopefully “when”) Gubment Motors goes under. I guess I'll have to burn that bridge when I come to it. Troubling times are ahead. I'm worried. In other automotive bankruptcy news, I'm actually glad for the pending sale of Chrysler to Fiat. Hopefully this will mean that they can get the Cinquecento federalized! Oop! I just read it online, they will be bringing the 500 to US Chrysler dealers and selling it as a Fiat! Oh man, that is so friggin’ cool! Apparently there is even an Abarth model coming out too! I can hardly wait! Not that I'll buy one. Then again, Juan never knows. Well, I'm just about ranted out. Hey, what do you know? I actually ranted for a change! How about that?
