Just a quick rant to let y'all know what happened today. First off, no I did not go to work today. We also did not make it to the shop Thursday evening. John informed me that we would meet at the shop at 0800 h today. At 0730 h this morning I rolled out of bed and began to get ready. Yeah, I knew I'd never make it by 0800 h but what are you going to do? As I was leaving, I texted John to say so. He replied he was about to leave as well. I beat him to the shop and hung out in the cab of Fifi until he arrived. He informed me that some dude was coming to buy the Z engine in the small storage. We yanked the transmission off of said engine and sat back to wait. Yeah, we probably could have done some work on some stuff but what are you going to do? The dude arrived and we loaded the engine into his truck. He paid John and left. John handed over a big old pile o’ cash to me and I asked what the “bird dog” fee would be. He said that since he was behind on his rent to me, he’d waive it… this time. We discussed doing something with Roku-Hyaku but wound up bailing on the shop due to (tee hee, I said doo-doo!) the heat. We went to Cabela’s and I had a look at the Space Gun they had. It was $50.00 cheaper than Cheaper than Dirt so I bought it. Yeah, I'm dumb. John dropped me off at my house and took Fifi with him. I played with the gun for a bit and decided to go shoot it. It shoots really nice. I like it a lot. After shooting all the ammo I was going to shoot, I paid up and started to leave. On a whim, I asked if they had any Beretta magazines but they didn’t. I then asked what he would use for optics. He suggested a $75.00 Red Dot scope. I asked if they had one of those. They did but it wasn’t $75.00 after all. It was only $45.00, so I bought it. I took it home and installed it. Of course I have no idea how it is going to work, but it sure is cool. And so with all that, I'm going to call it a rant.
