I totally forgot to send yesterday’s rant to Spiderman last night. I guess I'll send it tonight, along with today’s. OK, so I'm sitting here at my desk and suddenly think up what might be the most obscure pun ever. I doubt there are a handful of people in the world who will get it. It is obscure on three different levels: “Star Trek” minutiae, Japanese car knowledge, and ancient middle-eastern religion. Ready? Here goes: “If Nichelle Nichols drove a Cosmo, could it be called Uhura’s Mazda?” I want to post it on Face Buick and see what kind of reaction it gets. I think I'll do it. Done. We’ll see what that brings out in my friends. I'm thinking my somewhat dilettante sister-in-law might get it, my old college roommate John A. (who, like me, minored in Philosophy) might get it, and... well, that’s about it. Damn, there’s another reason to wish I was rich. Were I rich, I'd buy Nichelle Nichols a Cosmo and present it to her, in Hollywood at a big media To-Do, just so I could throw that wretched pun out there for the world. Well, I have to go pee, and I'm out of stuff to say to y'all so I guess I'm going to call it a week. Perhaps this weekend will produce some rant-worthy comentary on Monday.
