Fine, I just won't have a screen saver. Yeah, it quit again. I don't know what the fuck is going on with it, and... I don't give a fuck any more. Oh, in case you haven’t noticed, this is all about a week and a half behind the actual date. Spiderman’s internot service... know what? Never mind. I'm not ready to try and conjugate the verbiage to ‘splain what is in my future but your past. Maybe next week when the rant catches up to the real world. So, I cut out of here early yesterday and went to Blood Bath & Beyond. I picked up a belt clip and finally found the magazine extension thingy. While searching for it I almost gave up and considered it Karma telling me I didn't need another gun. I did finally find it though and moved on to the Catalog Sales Desk to buy ammo. Yes, I checked the regular ammo shelf first, they were out of .380 ACP. Of course at the CSD there was a line. I waited and finally it was my turn. Remember how the guy said they had plenty of DRT brand .380 ammo the other day? Yeah, that’s right, they still did. Ha! I bought a box. I then went to the Kel Tec case and waited for a sales dude. One came and I told him what I wanted. He went to the back and got it. I filled out the paperwork and was taken to the cash register. I paid and was on my way. I was happy as a little girl. A little girl who just bought a gun! Woo hoo! I headed straight to Shooster’s Club. Turns out Shooster’s Club has five Kel Tec P2ATs in stock, for thirty dollars less than I paid! I guess the other day when I was in there, I was looking at .38 special revolvers and didn't even look at them. On the other hand, they did not have the magazine extension or belt clip so I feel somewhat vindicated. What? No, of course I don't feel vindicated! I'm pissed. But what am I going to do? I got a lane and swapped out the bottom plate on the magazine for the finger extension thingy and then went in to shoot. I loaded up a mag and sent the target out to about five yards. I racked the first round into the chamber, aimed and squeezed. BANG! It wasn't bad at all. I do not know what those candy-asses on the internot are whining about, this thing is a joy to shoot. The 9mm I used to own, Slick Willie, was much worse than this. I like this. I fired the rest of the magazine at center mass and pulled the target in. There were only four holes in the paper for six bullets fired. I looked closely and, sure enough, two of the holes showed evidence of two bullets passing through the same spot. I'm not above admitting to a flyer or two, but these were definitely double shots in the same hole. It made me smile. I sent the target back out to five yards again. I “swiss cheesed” the paper with forty three bullets and loaded the last six into the magazine, with a seventh to be loaded into the chamber after I cleaned the gun. No, this is not a super accurate target pistol. It will, however, cut a ragged hole in a douche bag in need of a good killin’ when the time comes. I like it. From the Shooster’s Club I went to the shop. I fingered out how to strip the gun and cleaned it. I then read the instructions on how to install the belt clip. I knocked out the roll pin and replaced it with the one supplied with the clip. I installed the clip and tightened the button head screw. I was done. I loaded the magazine and racked a bullet into the chamber then replaced that bullet in the magazine. The gun slipped into my pocket and away we went to the house. Last night I must have field-stripped the thing five times, because that is what I do. I really dig my new shoosting iron. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggggggg! What the hell? Now the screen saver is working again! I came back from lunch to find the desktop on the screen, but just now, when I turned my attention away from this rant for a minute, the screen saver kicked in! This is going to piss me right the hell off! In fact, I must walk away from it for a while lest I go off again. No, I'm just going to call it a rant for the day. Later.
