1/27/10

John bought another car last night. Well, he bought it for someone else, not me, but I'm sure I'll wind up owning it. Thing is, I really do not need another project, cool though this one would be. It is a 1974 Mazda RX-4 four-door sedan. It is funky cool in the way early seventies Mazdas are. I'm trying really hard to not want it. Supposedly John's guy in California is going to wire the money to John soon. I hope so because, like I said, I don't need another project and I cannot afford it. Oh sure, I could try to play the “Remember all those years of ‘free phone service’ you and your wife have been getting?” card, but I won't. I only throw that in his face from time to time to bust his balls. It’s all money under the bridge to me. Anyhoo, the thing is sitting on my trailer at my shop waiting for Matt Big Hat to buy it off of John. We’ll see how that goes. Well, John didn't talk me out of an AK-47 when I mentioned it to him. In fact, when I told him how cheap they are, he said he might have to get one. I'm sure he was joking, but Juan never knows. They sure are cool. So, what else is there to say? I just sent in my vacation request for May 7 and 10 so I can attend the Southwest Sevens Festival, or as I like to call it, Birkinstock, at the Motorsport Ranch. Last year I didn't participate in the Friday track day, and I probably won't this year either, but I am planning to be there for it this time. Of course I blew up my engine on Sunday so wouldn't have been able to participate in Monday’s activities, but this year I hope to. I guess I need to get off my ass and finish putting The Seven back together. Meh, I've got three full months, it shouldn't be a problem. There, I jinxed it. Are you happy now? Well, I've really got nothing else to say so I guess I'm done. Hopefully Spiderman’s internot service will be back in operation tomorrow and y'all will be able to read these in a more timely manner.
