I had nothing to say yesterday. I don't have much today either but I'm going to give it a go. They installed the HVAC system at the house yesterday and they did, in fact, relocate the outside unit. I may actually get to build a shop next to the house after all. I'm not sure exactly how that will come about though. We shall have to wait and see. The only complaint I have about the new system, and I hope it is just break-in smell, is that the house smells like coolant. You know, that sweet smell of burning glycol? It is probably a coincidence, or perhaps even psychosomatic, but I've got a cough now after smelling it all night. If ti persists, the smell not the cough, through the weekend, I'm going to insist that mother call the guy and ask, “What’s the poop?” Speaking of the weekend, I'm still planning to go to the gun show, perhaps more than once. John wants to go after the shop on Saturday whereas Larry and I usually go on Sunday. I'm still thinking about an AK, but a couple more P3AT pistols would be cool too. Why three? Well, I'm thinking one with the left hand clip, one with the right hand clip, and the third bare to go in the pocket holster. Then I'd have one for all seasons, so to speak. I could carry one in whatever configuration suited me that day. Of course, there’s nothing stopping me from carrying all three, if the situation warranted it. I could be a regular “Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome” weapons system were I to sling Mossy (.410 pump shotgun) on my back, the Space Gun under my right arm on its single-point sling, Pixie in a shoulder holster in my left armpit, Big Millie on my left hip, the Judge on my right hip, a P3AT each in my front pockets, and one in the ankle holster. I think I'd be ready for the “Zombie Apocalypse” at that point. Carrying enough ammo to feed all of those “shootin’ irons” might pose a problem though. Let’s see, how many shots would I have just with the guns listed, fully loaded? We’d have five in Mossy, eighteen in the Space Gun, eighteen in Pixie, eleven in Big Millie, five in the Judge, and seven in each P3AT. By my count, that’s seventy eight. The shoulder holster has provisions to carry two more magazines which would feed either Pixie or the Space Gun. That adds 34 more rounds for a total of 112 rounds. In fact, I have a bunch of spare magazines for Pixie and the Space Gun, as well as for Big Millie. All of them have belt-clippable pouches. Then there are the four speed loaders for the Judge in their belt pouches. The only things I don't have multiple reloads for are the P3AT and Mossy. I'd probably buy a couple more P3AT magazines before the ZA, assuming I have ample warning. The reason for Mossy not having reloads is there ain’t no way to speed-load a pump shotgun. I'll have to have a bag of some sort to tote around spare .410 shotgun shells. Yeah, I guess a backpack is in order. I think I have something which will work. Of course I'd probably just hunker in a bunker somewhere with all that around me. I don't really see any reason to go foraging far and away. Yeah, like I'm going to be one of the survivors! It’ll probably happen while I'm at work and the only thing I'll have with me is Kurt Corto and its one magazine, out in the car, which I probably won't be able to get to. Well, it is snowing its ass off here. I've heard predictions of four inches accumulation. Tomorrow morning’s commute is going to ess, you, see, kay, SUCK! Hell, this afternoon’s might not be much of a picnic. In fact, I think I'm going to cut out of here about 1500-1530 h, which is about an hour to an hour and a half away. Why not leave now? Well, I just went down to the bathroom and it seems a shame to waste a trip up the stairs just to pick up my stuff and leave. I'll hang out a bit instead. See ya.
