Since I can't think of anything else to say, I guess I'll talk about an idea I had for Oliver Closehoff's headers. I'm thinking that I'll run the three primary pipes from each head into a four-pipe collector and use the extra holes to make a crossover tube sort of thing. I don’t have any science to back it up, but I think it otter have an effect on the horsepower and torque. In fact, I'd be willing to bet that it will make somewhere between -15 and 25% difference over stock manifolds. It might affect the rain flap synchronization though. I figure they, the rain flaps on the zorst stacks, will alternate popping open and closed at idle if I just leave the zorst as true duals. The crossover might even out the pulses so that they both flap together. Meh, either way they’ll be cool… if we ever find a body and get this thing built. Right now I'm thinking that it could, possibly, be a replacement for Fifi in the future. If it tows as well as I think it will, and if I can make the cockpit comfortable enough for “long hauls,” it should work. I'd still like a lighter trailer though. I was looking at a picture of my trailer just now and I think if a day were spent with a hole-saw, we could probably add a little lightness to it. Replacing the wood with “C” purlins would help a lot too, especially if we didn’t deck the whole thing. If we just ran runners where the tires of The Seven and Datsuns would go, we could leave big gaps in the deck. I really need some purlins. I wonder if Metal Supermarket has something we could use. Ok, I just went to their website. The problem is I'm not sure what to “ask” for… and they don’t have pictures. I guess I'll have to actually make the trek over there and ask face to face. Perhaps that way I can ‘splain what I need in such a way that the dude will know of what I speak. Well, I'm pretty bored with this right about now. I guess I'll do my timesheet and call it a week. John and I may go to the shop and we may go to a car show at the body shop where Fiona was fixed. I'd rather go to the shop since we’ve missed at least a solid month of work on Lil' Wiggly due to (tee hee, I said "doo doo!") other stuff. Well, we’ll see I guess.
