And my life just keeps getting to be more and more of a pain in the ass.  On top of being plunked under the fucking telecom umbrella at work, a position I in no way want to hold, I got a letter from the storage facility saying we have to move out by midnight on May 31st.  Fortunately I just got off the phone with the facility and we don’t actually have to move, but we cannot work on anything after that date.  So, all projects are on hold until we can find a new shop.  I'm going to go ahead and move the tools out before that time so that it is obvious we’re just storing stuff should an insurance inspector want to have a look.  John will need to make his car a roller and I think we otter yank George's engine and transmission to get it ready in case the Florida dude is a buyer.  I suppose we could shove all of that stuff from the small storage into the main shop once it is devoid of tools and save me at least $60.00 a month… y’know, for the month or two it takes us to find a new place, sort of thing.  I suggested to mom that I could move the tools to her side of the garage but she’s not willing to do that.  I guess our plan needs to be thus: this weekend work on rollerizing John's car and de-motorizing George; next weekend (when mom is out of town) clearing out the area in front of The Seven in my garage at home; the following weekend(s) moving tools and fabrication equipment to my garage thus converting Dimlight Racing into a very expensive storage unit.  Of course the ideal situation would be to find a new shop before the deadline and get everything moved… but I don’t see that happening.  I may need to take Fiona to CarMax and see if I can get out from under that loan after all.  Without that $430.00, plus insurance, every month, I can afford to rent a shop and the storage space… for a little while.  I'd also drop the satellite radio subscription and save some money every year.  Hmm, I guess I'd have to find where the i-Pod wound up when I threw it across the room the other night.  Fucking i-Tunes is a total brain-fuck when it comes to trying to finger out how to use the goddamned thing.  All I wanted to do was move some new songs from the laptop to the i-Pod.  How in the fuck does one do that?  “Oh, Apple is sooo ‘intuitive.’  You just look at it and it is obvious how it works!”  Bull mother fucking shit!  After fucking with the goddamned fucker for ten fucking minutes, I threw the bastard across the room.  Fortunately it hit the clothes in the closet instead of the wall… I guess.  But I digress.  What I'm saying is that if I make Fifi my daily driver, I'll want the i-Pod so I don’t have to listen to broadcast radio… sort of thing.  So, yeah, I guess selling Fiona might be back on the table.  Perhaps if we get enough done at the shop early enough Saturday, we can caravan to CarMax and at least get a quote.  I suppose I'll have to reinstall the buttons on the steering wheel.  I wonder where the wiring for them went.  Meh, like I care.  If they’ll give me enough to pay it off… I don’t know, I'd probably walk away from it.  It sure is a cool car though.  We’ll see.  Hang on, if I sell George to the dude from Florida, what will I have left to move?  I'll have the Chickenhawk, Lil' Wiggly, and the trailer… is that all?  We’d send the 620, 200SX, and junkyard 1200 to the crusher, the 300ZX would either go back to Jerry or to the crusher, John's B-310 I believe is destined to be crushed, leaving only the 510 wagon/dumpster with which to deal.  John will have his 1200 and B. R. Eastman will have the Spit to move.  We’ll have four cars in the new shop.  Oh wait, the Crossbow and eventually the Rat Rod will need space as well.  They won't take up too much room though since the Rat Rod consists of an Oliver tractor grill and two zorst stack rain flapper dealies at the moment, and the Crossbow is a disassembled Formula Vee and half of a Honda Goldwing.  Hell, I can probably put all of that in my garage where the tool box and fabrication equipment will be for a while… or let the Crossbow shit go to the crusher with the rest of the junk.  We’ll see.  Well, I was going to circle back to the bit about working for telecom but I think I'll save that rant for another day.  I've got to go update my resume right quick.
