6/28/13

It has been a crazy couple of days here at work.  I literally never set foot in my office Wednesday and was only in here for half an hour yesterday.  I realized this morning that I hadn’t walked up the fifty stairs to my desk since Tuesday.  But then again, who cares?  So I got a call from the dude in Florida who bought Super Karate-Monkey Death-Car from me a few months ago.  I think he wants to talk about buying another car.  I also think that with the Mini in the fleet, I'm ready to let George go again... that is to say, I am again ready to let George go.  Sort of thing.  Anyhoo, I haven’t called him back yet, but I don’t really know why.  I'll probably do that sometime this weekend.  I might even be amenable to selling the Chickenhawk… for at least $1,000.00 of course.  Is it worth that?  Psh, hell no!  If someone were to pay that they would be an idiot, but that is my price.  If I were to sell George and the Chickenhawk, I would be left with no 1200s though.  I'm not sure John would allow that to happen.  Of course if I were to cut myself back to just The Seven and the Mini, I could park both of them on one side of the garage at home.   No, I don’t see me cutting back that far.  It would make the most sense to do just that, but I don’t see it happening.  So, I don’t know what all of that was supposed to get us, but there it is.  I think the plan for Saturday is to hang out at John's house and watch him work on his 610.  He says he needs someone to crack the whip on that project or he’ll just keep putting it off and continue to enjoy the luxury that is Fifi.  Speaking of putting things off, I'm beginning to wonder if we’re ever going to move into that shop across town.  I'm still a bit skeptical about it to be honest.  I'm a bit worried about the structure, the doors, and especially electricity.  I'm going to need two 220 volt outlets in the area where the compressor and welder are going to live… we’re going to have someone wire those in I'm afeared.  Pat has done it before, maybe he’ll contract out to us as an electrician for a day.  I hope we don’t have to get the place up to code before moving in… because I doubt very highly that it is that now.  I don’t know, perhaps I'm worrying too much.  Maybe I can coax John away from the 610 for a cross town trip to grok the place after we get some work done in the morning… and by “we,” I do mean John.  Hey, we could go check out that sushi place in Arlington while we’re “in the neighborhood.”  The one thing I do plan on doing some time on Saturday is take the Saiga 12 and new optic to the range and sight it in.  I'll bring it with me to John's and plan on stopping by Elk Castle on the way home after lunch.  Of course John is welcome to join me at the range if he wants to.  I don’t plan to be there very long with the price of ammo being what it is these days.  I'll burn just enough to get the optic set… and then a few more for fun I'm sure!  Well, I've been staring at the screen for a while now trying to think of more to say.  I guess I'm done for the day, week, and month.  I'll talk to y'all again Monday.
