3/31/10

Wow, it has been really busy today. I did more “things” before 1100 h this morning than I usually do in an entire week. There was a hand hold in the Grand Canyon at 0800 h, which I was actually late for, oops. Then I picked up a projector from Hutch. I delivered that projector to the AOB and waited for the person to arrive. Once they had been shown how to use it, I went to the TSOC and picked up an old TV and VCR. I delivered the TV/VCR to my closet and then finally parked Fifi. I held some more hands on the third floor of the Marketing building then went to set someone up in the Bored Room. Once I made it to my office, I filed my taxes on line. I immediately had to go to the Viewing Gallery to hold some more hands. After that I went to a dude’s office and discussed the meeting with the Armed Forces... um something or other group who’ll be here tomorrow. From there, I went back to the AOB and picked up the projector from earlier. I returned it to Hutch and came back up to my office. By my count, that’s seventeen “things” before 1100 h. I had one more scheduled “thing” at 1245 h so I goofed off for a bit then went to have lunch first. Once lunch and the 1245 h “thing” was done, I rode around with Larry for a while. Now I'm back at the desk chatting with y'all. Oh, apparently “someone” has been spending too much time on FaceBuick as it is now blocked by the BNSF web nanny as a “Social Networking” (or more accurately “Social Not-Working”) site. Hmm, I wonder if setting up Nadine's page the other day had anything to do with that. It worked yesterday but not today. Kooky. Oh well, what are you going to do? So, I'm looking at the pictures on my work computer’s screen saver, and an under-hood shot of a Cobra comes up. They have this little expansion tank thingy in the upper radiator hose that I think I might need to emulate in The Seven and George. Well, at least in The Seven. George's radiator and engine alignment are close enough to stock, with the radiator being the highest point, I think, that it might just be a matter of putting a bigger “bleed hole” in the thermostat to burp the head when filling. I could be wrong but Juan would think the factory would have made the thing so that it could be drained and refilled. Wouldn't they? On The Seven, the radiator might be a tad lower than the head thereby making it impossible to burp without jacking the nose way up in the air. Of course, a larger bleed hole in that thermostat wouldn't hurt either, I'd imagine. Besides, the filler cap on The Seven's radiator is under the nose cone and is totally inaccessible. An expansion/filler tank in the upper hose could cure both of those issues. Well, it ain't gonna happen this time around. Perhaps the next time I need to crack open the cooling system I'll look into it. OK, I think I've said enough for today. I'm tired of talking to y'all.
