This time next week, I'll be at the Motorsport Ranch with “Birkinstock,” AKA The Southwest Sevens Festival. Tony is going to give me shit for not participating in the track events but I just don't care. I've had the car on the track, I don't need to do it again. If one of the group wants to donate a track session to me, I might take them up on it, but for the most part, I just don't care about getting out on the track. I'm in it to hang out with other Seven owners and to do the road tours. So there. OK, did I mention the Triumph thing this weekend in Oklahomo City? Well, apparently the regional meet for the local Triumph Owner’s Association is going on this week in OKC. Their Concourse show is tomorrow from 1000 h to 1400 h. I'm picking John up at 0800 h and we’re headed up there to check it out. I'm looking for inspiration and encouragement for the Nadine project. Hopefully a TR-3 owner will be willing to let a newbie owner drive his/her car to get a feel for the performance of the tractor motored thing. My biggest worry is that they perform like Tony’s Stalker, all bottom end and no revs. I'm afeared I'll tear it up trying to spin the engine too high all the time. I do like my RPMs, don't ya know? Well, we’ll see. I'm not going to be “That Guy” who goes around asking if he can drive your car, no way, no how. No, I'm going to look for the guy(s) I know who should be there and hopefully they will remember that I'm looking for the experience. Again, we’ll see. Well, I'm not having much luck forcing myself to talk to y'all so I'm going to just give it up. I'll have a report or two about the weekend on Monday, and perhaps Tuesday. Toodles.
