Well, my fuel pumps arrived the other day. I'm a bit worried that they say “high pressure” on them. Not like “fuel injection” high, but like “14 psi” high. They came with regulators and I'm hoping they will stem the flow down to the five to seven psi that carburetors like. We'll see. I suppose, worst case, I could run a return line to the tank and bleed off the excess pressure that way. I'm not going to sweat it right now though. We'll burn that bridge tomorrow when we install it on The Seven. So, the plan as it stands right now is that I'll go get the trailer tonight and John will meet me at the house in the morning. We'll load up The Seven and take it to the shop where we’ll replace the fuel pump. Hopefully that will fix that car and make it roadworthy again. I don't think there is an electrical issue... but I suppose there could be. Of course we’ll check that out as well, maybe even before replacing the pump. I don't know. Once The Seven is up and running, and I'm sure that is all we are going to accomplish tomorrow, we’ll caravan The Seven and Fifi back to my house. From there we’re going to look at a potential new shop location John has found. It is way more convenient for him from home and me from work, but just a little more convenient for me from home. It is at the intersection of 377 and Western Center meaning most of my drive there would be freeway. The current location has half, or more, of the drive on surface streets. It takes half an hour to get the 12 miles from my house to the shop. The new location would probably only take ten minutes off the trip, but it still would be more convenient. I do not relish the idea of moving, but for slightly more convenience and less in rent, I'll suck it up and do it. Oh yeah, the rent would be about $150.00 less than I'm paying now as well. That will be nice. OK, so that’s the plan for tomorrow. Hmm, what to say now? Well, with a new shop location potentially in the works, I don't really need the driveway poured around to the back patio at the house. I think I'd still like to look into it, just to know for sure what it would cost. I would like to be able to park more stuff there eventually. Of course that is assuming I plan to stay in that house forever. I really hate moving but that place is rather big for just me and a cat. I don't know if I could afford a mortgage along with the shop rent and car payment, but a smaller place, closer to work and the new shop if we get it, might behoove me. Aaaaaaaand it doesn't look good. I asked John how much they want for the house next door to his just now. He told me and I plugged that into a mortgage calculator. Yeah, I'm not sure I can swing...um, that amount on top of the other stuff. I may have a chat with the credit onion about it... no, I probably won't. I don't want to move and then there’s mom to consider. No, I think I'll stick it out where I am for the time being. Hmm, what now? Well, I've been struggling with the name I've given the Genesis Coupe. I'm just not happy with “Jenny.” 1) it is too derivative and B) that name holds less than stellar memories for me. I think I'm going to go a little more obscure... not too much if Juan thinks about it, but it will be for those who do not watch “Burn Notice.” Yes, I'm now thinking of calling the car “Bruce” after Bruce Campbell. No, of course I'm going to call the car “Fiona” since she drive a Genesis Coupe on the show. Besides, it is a much better “car name” than “Jenny” ever could hope to be. SLUT! WHORE! BITCH! Oh, sorry. Was that out loud?
