I'm going
to start this with the assurance that mom is doing well. Other than her being 83 years old, we’re NOT
worried about her health and/or impending mortality. So, I talked to my sister Linda last night
and she IS on the same page about me getting the house on Burkett when… well,
you know. She and I are both wondering
how Mel “knows” what our brother Ted thinks about the situation. She, Linda, is going to San Antonio in the
near future and, as she will be passing through Round Rock, plans to call
Ted. She said she would ask his opinion
at that time. Yes, I do in fact sound
like I'm making plans to take over that house.
That is NOT my intention. I'm
just reporting what has been said to me.
I'm thinking right now that if I was to have a drive built around to the
back patio, and clean out the garage; I could move the shop home with very
little trouble. I would have to cull my
herd considerably… and essentially “throw John out.” Hmm, ok, that is now sounding like something
I should NOT consider. I forgot that
John is “depending” on us having a shop on neutral ground. The inconvenience store might have to be
looked into again. I wish I still had
the number of the realtor who has the property up for sale/lease. That place, shared with John, along with a
drive to the back patio should suit my porpoises fine… I think. With a drive to the back patio, I wouldn’t
even need to build the privacy/security fence around the inconvenience store
for car and trailer storage. We’d still
store some projects there, but there otter be room enough inside for each of us
to keep two Datsun sized cars. I
wouldn’t be able to leave Fifi inside… or even GET Fifi inside for that matter,
but all of the other projects should fit through the door. Damn, I really want that place now. Well, I've wanted it ever since I saw it come
available last time, but I REALLY want it now.
The thought of an air conditioned and heated shop, so conveniently
located, might inspire me to finish a few more projects. I can also see a potentially
not-very-lucrative business opportunity there.
We could, in theory, go into business “renovating” old Japanese cars to
sell. Psh, we could even try to get a
“Reality TV” show out of it! I know
there are a couple shows about places like that on TV right now. I don’t watch them because “Reality TV” bores
and/or infuriates me to the point that I don’t bother… even if the subject
matter DOES interest me. I can't watch
any of the shows about gunsmiths, or car builders. Well, I just texted John to see if he
happened to take down the number when we looked at the place the other day… he
did not. Poop. I guess I'll be swinging by to get that and
making a call about it. Ok, it is 1137 h
so I guess I'm going to go hang out with Larry until lunchtime. I may come back later to talk to y'all some
more. We’ll see. Yeah, I got nothin’ more to say. I'm not going to be working tomorrow so there
won't be a rant. I'm not working Monday
either but I might get bored and sit down at the laptop. You’ll just have to wait and see.
