I just haven’t had anything to say to y'all all week. I'm going to force myself to say something today though. I'll start with the Black Death. I didn't drive it Monday through Thursday and let it sit with the sunroof open all week. I drove it today. Yeah, it still stinks. I'm not sure what that is going to mean for the future though. I guess I'll have a stinky-assed car forever. Whatever. John and Larry are just going to have to suck it up and deal with the smell tomorrow when we go to the clay shoot in Granbury. Have I mentioned that yet? See, my sister is involved with the Boy’s and Girl’s Club of Hood county. They are having a charity clay shoot tomorrow. I've signed us up as a team. I don't have any delusion we’re going to be competitive, so I'm just going to shoot my shotguns. I'm on the phone right now with my sister about the deal. It looks like tonight we’ll be checking out the range and have in a quick fun shoot. That is what I'm talking about! Woo hoo! I just hope my Saiga isn't a “Vodka Special.” They say that the quality control at the Izhmash factory isn't up to western standards and from time to time a less than perfect gun will get through. These are known as “Vodka Specials” because it appears as though the guy building the gun was drunk at the time. There have been a few worrisome aspects about my gun that make me suspicious. I think, however, that I have done enough modifications to it that it otter work. I hope. Larry's gun appears much better from the inspection I've done of it while doing the trigger conversion. I'm not so worried about his gun failing. Oh, since the rules state we can only load two shells at a time, I went ahead and ordered us a couple two-round magazines for the guns. They arrived, along with some other things, yesterday. They don't look as ridiculous as I'd feared either. Of course I'll bring the twenty-round drum for gits and shiggles. I've re-installed the Monte Carlo stock on Mossy, removing the pistol grip in the process, so we’ll have another gun to use. Of course, my grandfather’s Browning Auto 5 is the third gun I'll have with me. I suppose I'll hand the Auto 5 to John to use and let my sister’s step-son use Mossy. That is for tomorrow of course. I plan to shoot all three myself tonight. I'm debating whether or not to remove the flashlight from the top rail of the Auto 5 for this thing. Yeah, I guess I will. The thing is heavy enough without it that it is going to be a slow moving, difficult gun to use for this... um, but John shouldn't have any trouble with it. Ha ha. Yeah. Meh, what are you going to do? OK, side bar. I have moved the clock on my desk. It has been to my right between the laptop and desktop monitor for... psh, five, six, seven years now? It now sits on the cubicle wall to the left of the laptop. I can't get used to looking to the left to see what time it is! Oh sure, I could move it back. But... shut up, that’s why. Well, I guess that’s about all I have for this week. I'll let y'all know how the shoosting and other stuff went when/if I come back to work Monday.
