I'm not sure what we’re going to do tomorrow at the shop. I'm going to drive the Black Death, just in case John wants to try and reattach the bumper and polish off the white paint from the wall. I'm also going to bring the 7.62x39 and Tromix trigger/hook just in case I decide to grind off the trigger and install it. Perhaps we’ll get something done on Lil' Wiggly, but I'm not holding my breath for that to happen. We'll see. They opened an In-N-Out Burger somewhere on West Seventh here in Fort Worth. We may try to find it so I can see what all the hubbub is about. Hmm, “hubbub” is not only in the dictionary, but I managed to spell it right the first time. Interesting. OK, maybe not to you. Anyhoo, Sunday Larry and I are going to the gun show... I suppose John might want to do that Saturday now that I think about it. I'll ask. Anyhoo, Larry and I are going Sunday. I'm going to look for a .308 Saiga. I want one as a hunting arm since I have that wood furniture. By the way, I tried it on the 7.62x39 the other day. It looks pretty good. I'm not ready to convert that gun back to a Monte Carlo stock just yet though. I'm not sure how those effect my 922r compliance. OK, I just looked it up and if they are domestic I'm fine but if they are foreign I can only use low capacity magazines. I guess I'd better make sure they are domestic parts if I want to use them on another 7.62x39. Actually, that just cements my resolve that I want a .308 to use those parts. If I have a .308 with only low capacity maga... wait, I can use domestic high capacity magazines and be fine since they count as three 922r parts each. Never mind. I just need to forget about buying any of those 75 round drum magazines if I put the wood furniture on another 7.62x39. I'd still rather have a .308 though. I think I'm going to wait until I find a .308 for this project, no matter how long it takes. Yeah, it sucks having parts lying around like that, but a .308 is really what I want. So there. Yeah, I know, I had a .308 Saiga this time last year and sold it right before going on a hunting trip so I wouldn't be tempted to take a questionable shot at a deer. I can live with both the irony and my hypocrisy. I'm hanging my hat on the fact that the .308 I had was used and may have had an issue or two. Yeah, that’s it. F’rinstance, the little spring hoozis that tensions the gas tube, while superfluous to my understanding of how the thing goes together, was missing. And... um, I don't remember what else. I just want a new one, okay? Get over it. Speaking of “new ones,” I guess I'm not going to look into getting a new car. The Black Death still stinks when I first fire it up but it does still drive pretty well and is kind of fun still. I'll just have to drive mom’s car or Fifi any time she and I go anywhere. Although, if she were to experience the funk, she might be on board for a new car. Hmm. No, probably not. Oh, I know what John and I can do tomorrow, we can go to Nadine's and get the parts she keeps telling mom about for the TR-3. I think I'll play it like this, I'll drive the Black Death to the shop, we’ll do whatever we’re thinking of doing there for a while, we’ll go get Fifi from my house, and then go to Nadine's. If we leave John's car at the shop, we can unload Fifi when I drop him back off. If he follows me to my house, I can go back to the shop and unload it later. I suppose we could set it up where he comes to my house in the morning and we could caravan Fifi and the Black Death by Nadine's before going to the shop. That would work... except that John would have to drive around town instead of through it in the morning. I guess I'll talk to him about it this evening. Well, I'm just about bored talking to y'all for now. I guess I'll call it a week and go home. Yeah, that is what I'm going to do.
