5/18/12

Bah and feh!  The dude flaked on us.  He never showed up to buy Bobbi.  I'm glad I didn’t go through with my original plan to cut out of work at 1530 h to go to the shop.  I texted John at around 1500 h to say that I would wait until I heard from him before I headed out.  At 1650 h, I headed home.  At 1900 h I texted John again and said, “I don’t think this is happening.”  It didn’t.  So now I'm waiting to hear from John that we have another bite on the ad.  I'm really not getting my hopes up now.  Of course what will happen is we’ll sell the thing next Friday and I'll be “nigga rich” at the gun show.  That will be a dangerous situation.  As it stands right now, I might be able to buy some ammo.  If I sell Bobbi… psh, I could probably buy an AR-15.  Ok, maybe not.  Then again, if John pays the rest of what is owed on Hedley LaMarr, and I sell Bobbi, I will be more than “nigga rich,” I'll be “Supah nigga rich!”  Hmm, interesting.  Well, enough of that.  I can't remember if I told y'all about the lady from Odessa who sort of raised me for the first few years of my life being in the hospital.  No, it doesn’t sound familiar.  So Norma, the lady who was like my nanny or something when we lived in Odessa is in the hospital.  Mom and I were planning to drive out there tomorrow to visit her.  She’s in intensive care, near the edge of the woods but not quite out yet, and her son said this wouldn’t be the best weekend to make the trip.  Mom and I were relieved that we didn’t have to make the drive since it is such an ass whip.  I probably should feel worse for feeling that way… but I don’t.  I'm far too self-centered of an ass-hole to feel too bad about it.  I mean I was going to go, because I feel obligated to do so, but I am relieved to not have to.  Sort of thing.  So, on to other stuff.  John sent me a link to some bitchin’ “chrome” wheels yesterday.  I use quotes because they aren’t chrome like you are thinking.  They are chrome colors.  I really dig the purple ones for the Chickenhawk.  At $155.00 each, they are a bit spendy, in my opinion, for 13” steel wheels, but I'm comparing them to plain black painted ones for $50.00 each.  I'm sure it is the bargain of the century.  Yeah.  John likes the pink or the blue ones.  I like either of those for his 1200, Timmy!  We’ll see what goes down.  On another car front, I think I may have the hots for that Kia Optima… not for me but for mom.  Ever since last Christmas when I had that satellite radio installed in her Altima, I've wanted to get her in a new car with a real satellite radio.  That Optima is one dead sexy bitch.  Originally I was thinking the Hyundai Sonata, but its “spaceship” styling, I fear, might get dated pretty quickly.  I kept seeing an Optima in the parking garage and thought… well, I thought “That is one dead sexy bitch.”  I haven’t ventured into the Kia dealer to look at one in person yet; perhaps I'll do that tomorrow after I change the oil and have an inspection done on The Seven.  Yeah, I think I'll pull into the Kia dealer in The Seven and have a look-see at an Optima.  That otter blow some minds, curve some spines, and lose the war for the allies.  Well, it is now 1600 h and I think I'm going to call it a day.  I'll tell y'all what all I did over the weekend on Monday… as usual.
