8/9/13

I'm sure it isn’t the heat.  Usually at this time of year I start thinking of thinning the herd and getting rid of a bunch of stuff.  John usually blames it on the heat.  The reason I don’t think it is the heat is the fact that we haven’t done anything at the shop in three weeks… well, technically three MONTHS, but who’s counting?  No, the reason I'm thinking cull the herd right now is the realization that I am still going to need a place to store all of these cars once they are finished.  License and insurance concerns are in the mix as well, but the storage issue is foremost.  So, having said that, I really do think selling George to the Denton dude and getting rid of the Spitfire makes sense… even though I don’t want to do either.  Hopefully I'm not going into the Lil' Wiggly build with the expectation of hating the “Cobra-esque” driving dynamic… but I'm afeared I am doing just that.  In the back of my mind, that car is half-assed being “built to sell.”  Unfortunately we’re also NOT building it to sell by doing things which might hurt the value.  I don’t have anything specific in mind, but I'm sure there are some aspects which are to my taste which won't go over as well with others.  We’ll see.  Feh, this is boring me.
